Best place to walk-in with all your heart and soul.
Placement: There is a project semester in our course scheme at Thapar University. In that semester students are required to spend at least 5 months in the industry.
Yes, internship (training) is offered to the students in the campus in that semester and if any student left an impressive mark with his work then he is offered placement package too before the fourth year.
Center for Industrial Liasion & Placement (CILP) arranges placements for final year students.
According to the data provided more than 170 companies visited in Thapar University in 2015-2016 (till 30-6-2016) and approx 926 students were placed.
Maruti, Tata, Synopsys & Black Rock, Amazon, Honda, Sandisk, Crompton, Oracle, Hike Ltd., Naukri.com visit very often.
The placement percentage at Thapar University is more than 90% and the average package is around Rs. 6 lakh pa.
Faculty: The faculty at Thapar University is experienced and they alongside course completion, share their technical experience with students.
Mostly teachers are strict regarding the attendance criteria. To sit in end semester exams a student needs to attend more than 75% classes per subject.
Also, the exams test theoretical as well as practical knowledge of students. The questions in the exam are from the syllabus that is covered in the class.
The books and topics of a particular subject are described in the course scheme which is on the college site.
With the aim to provide world class education, an academic agreement was signed between Thapar University and Trinity College.
College: The admission at Thapar University is done on the basis of JEE MAIN score. To apply for BTech courses a person must have scored at least 20% in JEE MAIN exam i.e. 72 marks.
Some seats are reserved for backward classes and there is a quota for students of Punjab also.
For the admission, you need to apply online and there are 4 rounds of online counsellings and after that In-person counseling to fill the vacant seats.
I scored 95 in JEE MAIN (2015) and at the time of In-person counseling I was offered a seat in Chemical, Meta Production, Software, Electronics Instrumentation, and Electrical. I took admission in Electrical stream.

Reasons why I chose this College.
Placement: The placements have been good so far. Last year it was around 89% with the highest package being 40LPA. Companies like MICROSOFT, HSBC, JPMC, Delloite, Schneider, HAVELLS, etc. visited the campus to boost up the placements. The placement at any college depends on how much deserving you are.
Faculty: When you are in 11th and 12th you expect teachers to explain you each and every thing but getting into this college that is not exactly the case here, as teachers are busy. But you can still meet the teachers at the time given by them. Teachers are highly qualified with everyone having a Ph.D. degree from an IIT or other prestigious colleges.
College: No particular entrance exam is there , you just have to score good marks close to the cut off from JEE Mains to get into Electrical or civil or chemical engineering, but for computer science, electronics , mechanical you need to score a little bit higher and also you must have a minimum of 60% aggregate in PCM in your respective board examination.

A College worth Joining!!
Placement: Thapar’s Alumni network is quite very strong. There is a student-alumni interaction cell as well. Talking about the placements and average salary figures, students are able to get descent packages from the campus itself. Startups are also given space and support to grow under guidance provided by experts.
Faculty: Class timings are 8 am to 5 pm. Teachers are great they pay attention to every child uniquely. The college experience is great. Provides a great platform to explore your own self and also a great life learning experience
College: The procedure for admission in Thapar Institute is very simple. You need to fill the admission form first. You must have made an appearance in JEE Main entrance exam. The cutoff for getting a seat isn’t that high or low. At least you must have cleared the entrance exam to be able to be still In the race to get your dream branch

Placement: This university collaborates with Irish university in Dublin so if students thinks for his master career then they can easily apply.The placements are good when compared to colleges like IP, PEC etc. The college is proving to be better than many of the NITs. The average placements are equal to the top placements of many well-known companies like Amazon, Wipro e.t.c.Highest package of this campus is 30 Lacs & minimum package is 5 Lacs per annum.
Faculty: The faculty of this institute is one of the best that students will ever face. They are well qualified in their respective fields and have no lack of knowledge. In a classroom, the student to teacher interaction is very good and good exposure is provided to them in every way.One of the my favourite teacher is Ajay sir he used to teach his subject in a way so that students never forget once learn.
College: Thapar institute is well established and the campus is equipped with everything that a student may need in his/her daily life. Talking about the classes and labs, they are well built and ventilated. All the labs have the latest equipment.It is collobrate also with Irish university for well future of thapar University students.I take admission here after qualifying in Jee mains exams because in this college seats are limited & finalised by entrance examination.

Placement: great placemets in every branch of engineering in this university.Lat year 170 students hired at different companies. Mncs like Reliance, Wipro, Sandisk, Texas,Microsoft& Maruti visits campus for hiring. highest package is 28 lacs & lowset package is 3.5 lac
Faculty: The faculty is very good & always tires to collabrate with students helps them to solve their problem.My favourite teacher is Ajay kumar sir.he used to teach best way & always recommend foreign authors & convey students .
College: Thapar university is the best reputated university in north India. great campus spread more than 25 acres of land.The only crones is high fee but if student is good in studies he or she easily easily got schloarship . I finalized my admission after qualifying Aieee exam.

Placement: Placement record is 100%. Large scale companies and big MNCs come for campus placements.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are PhD scholars and there are some teachers who have worked in the industry itself for atleast 10 years.
College: It’s is a very good college to enhance and brighten your career path. This college is compared to NITs. Very good college for those students who want to improve their career.

Great Infrastructure
Placement: Placements are quite good . And faculty also helps you in getting internship and also motivates you. The highest Salary offered is close to 32 lakhs and average is about 7-8 lakhs.
Faculty: As I am from Electronics Branch. The faculty is always ready to help and motivate you.My favourite teacher is Dr. Mohit Aggarwal and teaching is done using PPT’s and books too.There is also a provision of tutorial class where all the numerical are taught.
College: Thapar University is one of the oldest and prestigious university in the North India and it also have a great infrastructure and really good faculty. The atmoshere is very good and there is nothing like ragging as the seniors are friendly and helpful.
The admission process is easy and you can refer to the thapar.edu site where whole process is described.

THE THAPAR CULTURE - AN UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE
Placement: Thapar has very good placement statistics with many top companies visiting the campus. The overall placement percentage stood up at 96% with top pacakages going upto 40 lakhs. the average pakage offered is 6 lakhs.

Placement: It’s great. This year a company offered 38 lpa to 2 students and 60-70+ students got a package greater than 10lpa. Average package for 2015-16 was 6lpa

Placement: Well, a lot depends on the branch you are in if you are interested in the core companies visiting the campus. For non-core we have companies like JP Morgan Chase, Deloitte, ZS Consulting, Futures First, Royal Bank of Scotland, HSBC etc to name a few which offer lucrative packages to the students starting from 8lpa going up till 15lpa(there are some others like EXL, mu sigma which offer somewhere around 6–8 lpa and few other which offer again in the range of 8+). Companies having packages above 15lpa are mainly Microsoft, De Shaw, Walmart, Works Experience, Proptiger, Myntra, Hikari Tsushin etc. Well now since you have mentioned that you want the data for all branches, I found something that shall solve this quickly.
