English Department of SNDT University
Placement: We have to do a compulsory internship of 240 hours in our final semester. The students are free to choose their internship or are provided a suitable place by the department
Faculty: There are two faculty members currently in the department. Both of them are well versed with the subject and make the discussions in class very lively and interesting.
College: It is one of the best universities to do your post-graduation from. I did my Masters in English literature and I truly enjoyed the experience. The professors are just amazing and help you with writing your assignment and research . The admission process is very simple. It is purely based on merit. The people who did not opt for English in their undergrad can also apply for the course. But they will have to give a 50 marks English Proficiency Test . The department also hosts a Book Club where the students are free to discuss any book of their choice with the entire class. The professors also encourage you to think critically and independently. In the final semester you have to do an internship of around 240 hours in any of the (non-profit) organisations that you wish to. You also have to make a research dissertation which carries 100 marks. The only thing that is not good in the university is its infrastructure. Apart from that this university is the perfect place for your Masters.
Exam: College’s Internal Written Exam
