Placement: The Chandigarh University Department of Airlines and Airport Management is one of its kind in terms of placements to each of its worthy students and has been dedicatedly providing: Internship & Placements at Airports Internships & Placements in Airlines Internships & Placements in Hotel Industry Internships & Placements in Travel Companies Recently, I have been offered the Internship letter to be an intern under Disney (USA). Since then our UITHM department at Chandigarh University has been dedicatedly providing us a rigorous training process under which me along with other students who have been offered this impressive Internship are being prepared for our professional conduct at the Walt Industry. I would also like to through light on the following few: University also provides several options for internships and semester exchange programs, various field oriented opportunities of internships and semester exchange programs like in the past- Disneyland (Florida,USA), Semester exchange program (Italy), Paid internship (Malaysia)and many more to come. This university is graded A+ by NAAC, as the university provides the best teaching staff and the equipment which are required to teach. Interview happens every year and they also teach how to give an interview, special classes for interview sessions are organized by the university itself. Being a graduate from 3rd year and i am very much taking guidance from my seniors who have been placed in different renowned airlines and airports, like Ground staff and Customer Executive in Air Asia, Customer service Manager at the Duty free department of Delhi T3 airport.
Faculty: Chandigarh University has a classroom module with each lecture for 50 minutes. The class timings are from 9:30 am till 4:20pm, weekdays. The B.Sc. course curriculum in Aviation and Airline Management benchmarks global education with a system that matches the best of practices, theories, resources and standards all over the world. College: The B.Sc course in Airlines and Airport Management is a Three years full time course that has been accredited by NAAC. Unlike any other institutions providing just a diploma and giving some basic knowledge about the aviation industry, Chandigarh University focuses on every aspect of the aviation industry from basic to advance. The University has aviation Labs focusing upon the new technologies available in the aviation industry. Like upcoming trends of Aviation, New Aircrafts, New Technologies to be implemented in coming years like Biometric passport system and many more. The B.Sc. Course curriculum of one year is taught into two semester i.e.,17-18 weeks each. Semester system promotes greater interaction between faculty members and students and also permits more meaningful term paper and research assignments. Library: Leading Airlines, Airport, Travel, Tourism and Hospitality magazines, journals and books are available to cater the student’s professional needs and can be accessed at the well-equipped library. Information Technology Lab: UITHM has its computer lab facility for students to update and enhance their Aviation related knowledge. These labs are equipped with all Airline related software to provide hands on training to our students. Residential Hostels: The University provides residential facilities separately for boys and girl students. Priority is given to students from outstations. Sports and ExtraCurricular Activities: The University boasts of the Cricket Ground, BasketBall, Tennis, Volleyball and Badminton Courts, as well as Horse Riding facilities. Facilities for Billiards and Table Tennis are also available at the students’ hostels. The airline department has built-in various clubs like the “UDAAN Club” that have been engaging the students with various activities that help them develop skills required to be a Cabin Crew. Such activity conducted by the club round the semester inculcates in our hospitality professional’s with the Customer service skills, Compassionate Skills, Interpersonal Skills, Public Speaking Skills, grooming Skills, Negotiation Skills, to name a few thereby contributing to the needs of current Aviation Market.
Exam: To provide an opportunity to bright young minds to study in the most challenging and diverse academic environment, Chandigarh University conducts a mandatory Entrance Test commonly known as CUCET for admission to B.Sc. in Airlines and Airport Management. Such Common Entrance Test, CUCET is aimed at rewarding the brilliance and potential of young aspirants to win scholarships and study in futuristic courses in Airlines and Airport management. The CUCET has been instituted to: Recognize Students Achievements Provide opportunities to the Students to win scholarships Assist in Overcoming Financial Barriers Eligibility Criterion: Any students who has scored 50% or more marks in their secondary Education (10+2) or student appearing for secondary education (10+2) from a recognized Board (CBSE/PSEB/ICSE or any other recognized State/National Board) eligible to enroll with the B.Sc. in Airlines and Airport Management course

Placement: Highest package offered 31.77LPA by Amazon. Top MNC’s ike Microsoft SAP Labs IBM Hewlett Packard visited CU. Wipro hired around 400 students then Capegemini hired 217 Mindtree hired 101. So placement in CU is really awesome.
Faculty: I am from CSE. All teachers are well qualified and experienced. They are always ready to help or guide you even after the classes . Real life examples and models are always their pedagogy to support their explanation. University is having the tie ups with industry alliances like MICROSOFT Innovation Center SAP labs CISCO CCNA etc.
College: Chandigarh University provides platform to students like me to get a good job. Placement cell is very active here. Hundreds of companies visit for hirings.
Exam: University intake is completely based on minimum eligibility criteria. For my course if student is having good marks in 12th they provide scholarship as well. And if someone has not cracked the state/national exam then they can take admission after clearing CUCET exam which is an internal exam conducted by the university.

College: pros: Qualified and experienced faculty good academic system many activities all the year round cons: Strict trimmings 9:25 am to 4:30 pm we have to work late in the evening and on Saturdays also 75% attendance must for Final exams Firstly I have applied online for my course. After that councling session is held in which I get to know about other cources also. After that I have filled the online application form and submit my initial documents and fees. With no entrance exam I have got admission in Chandigarh University And I was free to visit the campus any time to have a look for campus where I have to study.
