Placement: The Neotia University has an industry partnership for internship and placement with Destan Ship Management Pvt Ltd, Blue Bird Shipping and K-Ship. There is very good placement record for many years. 90% of our 2019 pass out batch of Marine Engineering and Nautical Science have been placed in Destan Ship Management Pvt. Ltd.,Apeejay Shipping, MOL, Mercator, ONGC and Ocean Sparkle .The University also has an active Training and Placement Cell and organizes many training programmes, workshops, seminars and talks by industry experts that help us become industry ready.
Faculty: For me, our HOD and all faculty members are ideals, who are vastly experienced Master Mariners and Chief Engineers who have worked in top shipping companies (MOL, Anglo-Eastern, etc.) for many years. They ensure our Pre-Sea training is up to the mark and strictly discipline oriented, at the same time always being helpful and encouraging towards each student. They always clear any doubts that we ask, in a way that we might understand it properly. Their knowledge and experiences of life at sea are truly inspirational for us cadets aiming to establish a career at sea.
College: I am very fortunate to studying in The Neotia University and being able to pursue my dream of becoming a merchant navy Deck Officer as this institution is quite possibly the best university in Eastern India for Maritime Studies(BSc. In Nautical Science or B.Tech in Marine Engineering) which is DG Shipping(Govt. Of India) approved. It has amazingly well-built infrastructure including a one-of-a-kind "Ship-in-Campus" having a fully operational 4000 BHP Ship Engine along with many machineries available ( like Generator, Oil-Water separator, Boiler, etc.), Bridge Simulator, Workshop, Seamanship & Firefighting Labs, Smart Classrooms and also a Free Fall Lifeboat. All help in our better practical training, guided by a highly-experienced teaching faculty. Life on our lush green campus is very enjoyable and vibrant as there are great student interactions among the numerous streams and departments, along with all outdoor sports facilities like football grounds, basketball, volleyball and badminton courts, swimming pool, and gym being available. Hostels are nice and clean, with Table Tennis and Carrom boards in each. There is a well-stocked Library and a spacious Multipurpose Hall for various seminars and cultural events.
Exam: I got admission in Bachelors’ in Nautical Science, by passing all these required criteria - 1) 12th Board results minimum 60% marks average is required in PCM subjects, along with atleast 60% marks in English 2)An internal College Merit test(Aptitude & Technical) with minimum 30% marks 3)Medical Test Certificate by doctor empanelled by the D.G. Shipping, Govt. of India 4) Valid Passport of the student required during admission time 5) Age between 17-25 years when course starts.

College: Placements: THE NEOTIA UNIVERSITY(TNU) provides international and national placement after completion of the course. It gives 100% placement assurance. Each students get placed internationally and nationally. (TNU) has a strong placement cell . Infrastructure: Classrooms and practical labs both are equipped with high tech features. It gives many exclusive facilities such as air-conditioned classrooms, and commercial kitchen, which no other institutions provide. The kitchen, as well as other labs, are good places to learn. Faculty: All faculty Members is well Qualified and have very good skills. They really show there Interested towards there work and teaching. They have great knowledge and all focus on the growing of the students. There are most of the faculty members who will give lot of supports and there are lots of fests. Others: I have chosen this course because the hospitality industry is huge, and you will have a bright future. The best thing about our course is to know the skills in the kitchen, in the bar, in the restaurant etc. The communication skills and grooming part should be include in our course.

Hi I am Megha Malick from the dept. Of BMLT. In my opinion "The Neotia University" is one of the best University from all sides. The University campus is very nice and admirable. Faculties are high qualified and very experienced. They are also very helpful and teaches us very well. In this pandemic situation they take online classes. Students are given books to read from the University library. Laboratories are very updated and there are all kinds of necessary instruments . Besides of these there are also smart classrooms, separate boy’s and girl’s hostel ,gym , swimming pool, separate playground for boys and girls,free wifi facilities, good medical facilities and many clubs like - Cultural club, Eco club, Cine club, Music club ,Sports club etc. A very good Facilities is that University gives scholarship after getting 60 percent marks and the University also gives good placement.
