Placement: Our college has reasonably good placements , with Fortune 500 companies recruiting in campus. For example Amazon Inc.,E&Y.,Wipro,KPMG,etc., Placement cell of our college is in continuous contact with the corporate world.
College: Like everyone else, I started off with a confusion!- Where do I accomplish my MBA dream? Do I need to look out for location? Infrastructure? Placement? University? Scholarships? Faculty? Teaching methods? Industrial visits? Extra courses? International tours? Exchange programs?... and most importantly where do I find such a B-school with moderate program fees?
Choices at this point, makes it complex to take a decision. But after a lot of research, I was lucky enough to have discovered National School of Business (NSB) . It was all mere words and dreams before joining, but a sheer delight later.
After joining NSB, I would say it has given me a smile of satisfaction.
NSB’s vision of creating individual champions through teamwork is an interesting one. It’s integrated teaching methodology that links all aspects of HR, Marketing, Finance, Operations and so on to a single phenomenon/instance is a phenomenal one. This helps us see business as an integrated set of activity rather than exploring business in silos of marketing or finance or HRM. This, in my opinion, is the hallmark of NSB’s teaching.
NSB has gone an extra mile in creating outstanding learning opportunity. May it be partnering with IIM for resource sharing or giving an open offer to students to ask for any book that they want to read. NSB promises to buy any book that a student wants to read….what else can define it’s openness to help students learn? Moreover, I have been a beneficiary of NSB’s policy of rewarding using library more often. In the last semester, I got a special award for being an intense user of library.
In this digital world, teaching methods of NSB reflect contemporary technology and impressive multi-media integration. The methodological diversity of teaching that includes group discussion, debate, quiz, individual and group presentations, role-plays, article reviews and industrial visits have taken us far away from mundane lectures.
NSB has team-work focused ’Jnaanadhara’ groups, each group named after a management guru, that triggers inter-group competition to churn out best group effort.
NSB’s special lecture series and Leadership in Action are the great opportunities for knowing what is on the other side of corporate walls. What do corporate expect out of MBA’s and how well we can mold ourselves to fit into corporate world is what it helps to us know.
NSB goes an extra mile to enhance soft skills and much needed technical skills. NSB’s unique Business News Analysis brings huge thinking and analysis into classrooms. This particular module is designed in a way it makes us drill down to depth of the news to capture the essence of happenings in business world. NSB’s exchange program and Overseas business study tour has taken over 500 students to international destinations. This effort of NSB is reflected in NSB’s alumni excelling in Fortune 500 companies across the globe.
NSB teaches its students to excel both in professional and personal front. The core members of the institution are management scholars, skillful intellects who set as living examples to be man of values rather than a man of success.
â€Best things in life comes in small packagesâ€. NSB is small in size, but the impact it create in this society is uncomparable .It has been ranked as 17th best in Silicon Valley, featured as Great Indian b-schools by Forbes ,ISO certified institute in terms of process excellence,3rd best in Return On Investment. It deserves more in future as well.
I would say our NSB is Value for Money in every penny you pay. I always feel good for the wise decision I took joining National School of Business to fulfill my dreams and aspirations.
