- The registration for ATMA is ongoing and the last date to apply is February 11, 2024. The examination will be held on February 18, 2024.
- The MHT-CET examination registration is now open and the last date to apply is on March 1, 2024. The examination will be held on April 16, 2024, - April 30, 2024 (tentative).

The University of Mumbai is one of the oldest and premier universities in India. It is a public state university in Mumbai. It is one of the largest universities in the world with over 549000 students on its campuses and affiliated colleges. Mumbai University has more than 700 affiliated colleges. The university was accredited with a grade of ‘A++’ by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). MU offers over 200 UG, PG, Diploma, Certificate, and Doctoral courses in various fields like Engineering, Science, Commerce, Management, Arts, and more. It also offers distance learning from the Mumbai University Institute of Distance and Open Learning.
Mumbai University admission is both merit and entrance-based. The application process for all courses is online. Candidates seeking admission to the B.E/B.Tech must appear for MHT-CET, however, candidates having a valid JEE Mains score will be preferred over MHT-CET. For B.Pharm/Pharm. D, candidates need to appear for the MHT-CET unless they have a valid NEET score. MU accepts MAH-MBA CET for the full-time postgraduate degree courses in Management (MBA and MMS). For the law degree courses admission will be done through the MHT-CET Law entrance exam. Other entrance exams are accepted for different courses as well.
Mumbai University Admission Process
Mumbai University accepts admission in the online mode only. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can apply for colleges that meet their eligibility. The admission is given below for more clarification.
- The students will be required to an online profile with Mumbai University which will be used to log in to their profiles.
- After this students will be required to fill up the pre-admission online enrollment on the official website of Mumbai University.
- After the application forms are released the students can apply online. During this attaching the enrollment form is a must.
- The colleges will release their merit lists once the application dates are closed.
- Students can check the merit lists to see if they are eligible for admission to the different colleges.
- After applying and getting selected for a college students will have to verify their documents.
- Once the confirmation is received, students can secure their seats by paying admission fees online.

Mumbai University UG Admission
Mumbai University offers admission based on merit in class 12th from a recognized board. The candidates are shortlisted based on the merit scores in the last qualifying exam. Admissions to selected courses MU accepts entrance examination scores obtained in various examinations.

Mumbai University Ph.D. Admission
Mumbai University offers admission to Ph.D. courses in various departments like Library and Information Science, Law, Languages, Commerce, Science, Education, and more. For admission, students have to appear for the PET entrance test in order to be eligible for the doctorate degree. If a student achieves a valid score in the PET examination then they are called for the personal interview round.
