Madras University is also known as the University of Madras or UNOM, Chennai. Founded in 1857 by an Act of India’s Legislative Council. Madras University (UNOM) is one of the oldest Universities in the country. The overall number of students enrolled at the institution is over 41,000, and the total number of faculty is over 250. The university is UGC-approved and NAAC ‘A++’ grade accredited. Additionally, UNOM has earned 50 and 65 ranks in the ‘University’ and ‘Overall’ categories of NIRF Ranking 2023.
Madras University includes 68 study and research departments under 18 Schools. The University provides 165 courses divided into three levels. The three levels are diploma, PG, and post-PG. At the Diploma level, the university offers Diploma and PG Diploma courses. Moreover, it offers eight postgraduate courses. Placement: I got placement in the ICICI Bank and many friends of mine placed in MNC’s
Faculty: They all are a good experience and Ph.D. holders.
College: This is a government university of the state and I am right now pursuing my education here in Business Management and there is a Common Entrance Test conducted by the University which one has to clear for taking admission here and I had a great time here so far and because it’s a University so it big for us to explore.
