Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Patiala Cutoff
Thapar University cutoff 2024 for the Round 1 Seat Allotment has yet to be unconfined for various BE courses based on the JEE Main ranks and percentiles. Thapar cutoff 2024 for BE ranged between 32664 and 136358, wherein Computer Science and Engineering is the most competitive BE specialization for the General AII India category students. Thapar University cutoff 2024 has been released for nine BE specializations across various categories, with General, SC, and ST for Outside Punjab(All India) and Punjab(Home State). As per the Round 1 seat allotment results, BE Computer Science has outstood all the specializations with the concluding rank of 32664 for the General All India Quota. In 2023, the course cutoff stood at 22555, making it the most modest specialization this year.
For the Home State, Thapar University BE cutoff 2024 for R1 fluctuated between 47743 and 291981. On analyzing both the Quota ranks, the All India ranks are more inexpensive. Also, the counselling process for the University concluded after the release of the JEE Main Round 4 seat allotment in 2023. From the past trends, it can be predicted that Thapar University JEE Main Counselling 2024 will be shown in four rounds.

Thapar University admission is both merit and entrance-based. The fee for the BE courses is based on JEE Main ranks and Thapar University Class 12 cutoff. A College worth Joining!!
Placement: In Civil engineering average package goes between 8-9 lacs in 2016. Last year placement went very well. Over 230 offers were given to student from companies. This year 2K18 over 100 offers are given. From which over 115 placements have been done. Last year in computer Science department the placement percentage was 80%

Best place to walk-in with all your heart and soul.
Placement: Thapar is a reputed college, and is renowned for it’s placements, as most of the students here get placed ( 95-100% ). The highest package has been of 38 Lacs and the lowest is 3.5 Lacs per annum. Companies like D. E. SHAW usually visits thapar for the recruitment of new talents and brains. There is a special placement cell in the college and the students starts getting internships in the 5th semester only, on the basis of their knowledge in their respective streams. So, overall it’s a good college, if judged on the basis of placements.

Best University in terms of Education and Facility.
Placement: Placements are good in Thapar and that is why it has maintained its name among the best colleges in Punjab.Average salary is about Rs 6 lakhs. Companies like Texas Instruments, Sandisk and Microsoft visit the campus.
About the internships-
There are ample of opportunities for Mechanical branch and CS(with good companies like Microsoft and Amazon visiting the campus). Some companies also visit the campus for ECE (and related profiles of EIC and Electrical). But mostly one has to rely on the vacancies (apply online for internships) or rely on his/her contacts.

Reasons why I chose this College.
Placement: Placements offered here are worth the money you put here. Placements are average for computer science branch and the packages offered were around 8 lacs per annum which is quite good for a private college. We have good alumni and Thapar institute has strong roots regarding placements. All the good companies like D.E.Shaw, Amazon, etc. visit our college for placements

Faculty: The teachers of this institution are very much qualified, knowledgeable as well as helpful. If any student approaches them, they surely listen to them and solve their query. Also, there is no problem regarding lack of teachers of any subject. Electronic media is used sometimes, but it’s not so helpful as it seems to be, and the student has to put their own effort in order to get into their subject of interest as the college is recruiting more and more students each year. The course curriculum is useful and they cover a variety of syllabus, so as to get the student, exposure of all the things related to that or nearby it

Best University in terms of Education and Facility.
Faculty: Academics is good in Thapar university. All classes are engaged in time. Each student is required to keep his attendance record above 75% to prevent detention from that subject. Some Professors are really good and helpful and most professors can be easily accessed outside the classroom.Classes are engaged from 8-5 but actual schedule may vary from branch to branch. We have a CGPA system here (some college also follow % system). At the end of the semester students can also rate the quality and methodology of teaching by filling a SRS(Student Response Survey)

Faculty: The faculty is highly qualified with nice work experience. You will also have elective courses where you can learn something out of the syllabus of your branch. New courses like electronics and computer provide a nice platform for doing MS mechatronics in foreign which has a good scope in future.
