Karunya University Admission Highlights
Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences, also known as Karunya University, is situated in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The institute offers several programs at undergraduate and postgraduate level. It also offers Integrated and Research courses in the field of Arts, Commerce, Engineering, Management, Science, and Technology. These courses are offered under several specializations. Karunya University Admissions Minimum Educational Qualifications
The institute offers various undergraduate and postgraduate programs and the eligibility criteria defined by the institute vary from one another.
For Undergraduate Programs
- For admission to B. Tech, the candidates must have passed 10+2 with PCM as compulsory subjects securing at least 60% marks in aggregate from a recognized board.
- For B. Sc, the candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology/Zoology/Botany/Computer Science as main subjects securing at least 60% marks in aggregate.
- For admission to B. Sc+ M. Sc and BA + MA, the candidates must have passed senior secondary school securing at least 60% marks in aggregate.
- For BBA and B. Com, the candidates must have passed 10+2 with Mathematics and English as main subjects securing at least 60% marks in aggregate.
- For admission to B. Sc, the candidates must secure 60% marks in aggregate in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology/Biotechnology.
- Candidates seeking admission to BCA and BA must have secured 60% marks in 10+2.
For Postgraduate Programs
- For admission to M. Tech, the candidates must hold a BE/B. Tech degree in the relevant field securing at least 55% marks in aggregate from a recognized university.
- Candidates seeking admission to M. Sc and MA must possess a bachelor’s degree in the relevant field securing at least 60% marks in aggregate from a recognized university.
- Candidates seeking admission to MBA must possess a bachelor’s degree in any field.
For PhD and M. Phil Programs
- For admission to PhD program, the candidates must hold a master’s degree in the relevant field securing at least 55% marks in aggregate.
- For admission to M. Phil program, the candidates must possess a master’s degree or M. Sc in the relevant field securing at least 55% marks in aggregate.
Admission to the Undergraduate Programs at Karunya University
Karunya University Courses include programs at undergraduate and postgraduate level. The programs offered by the institute at undergraduate level are B. Tech, B. Sc, BBA, B. Com, B. Sc, BCA, and BA. These programs are offered under several specializations.
- Candidates seeking admission to B. Tech and B. Tech (Lateral entry) must appear and qualify KEE and/or qualifying examination.
- For admission to B. Sc, the candidates are shortlisted based on the merit in the qualifying examination.
- For admission to B. Sc + M. Sc, BA + MA, BBA, B. Com, B. Sc, BCA, and BA, the candidates are shortlisted based on the merit in the qualifying examination.
Admission to the Postgraduate Programs at Karunya University
Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences offers various postgraduate programs. These programs include M Tech, M.Sc, MA, and MBA. The admission procedure may vary for each of the programs.
- Candidates seeking admission to M. Tech, M. Tech (lateral entry), M. Sc, and MA are shortlisted based on the merit in the last qualifying examination.
- Candidates with a valid score in GATE examination are also eligible for admission to M. Tech.
- For admission to the MBA program, the candidates are shortlisted based on the marks obtained by them in KMAT or CAT/XAT/MAT scores.
Admission to the PhD and M. Phil Programs at Karunya University
Admission to the PhD and M. Phil program at Karunya University is done based on candidates’ performance in the written entrance examination followed by personal interview round conducted by the institute.
