KL University Admission Highlights
The admission procedure of Koneru Lakshmaiah University, referred to as KLU, entirely depends on the various examinations conducted by various organizations. The programs are offered at undergraduate and postgraduate level under various specializations. Some of the examinations are followed by Personal Interview or/and Group Discussion rounds conducted at the University. Candidates seeking admission to any of the programs must ensure that they visit the minimum eligibility criteria defined by the university.
- Admission to B. Tech, Integrated B. Tech, and B. Arch is done based on candidates’ performance in the Engineering Entrance Examination conducted by the university.
- Candidates with a valid score in national level entrance examinations such as JEE Main, JEE Advanced, and EAMCET would be considered eligible for admission to B. Tech, Integrated B. Tech, and B. Arch programs.
- Candidates seeking admission to B. Arch program must have qualified NATA exam.
- Admission to B. Pharm program is done based on candidates’ performance in AP EAMCET or any other state level entrance examination.
- Admission to the other undergraduate programs such as B. Sc, BHM, BCA, BBA, and LL. B is done based on candidates’ performance in the entrance examination and followed by a personal interview round conducted by the university.
- Candidates seeking admission to M. Tech will be shortlisted based on their performance in the entrance examination conducted by the university.
- Candidates are required to qualify any national level entrance examination such as CAT, MAT, XAT or entrance examination conducted by the university i.e. KLUMAT.
- Candidates seeking admission to M. Sc will be shortlisted based on candidates’ performance in the last qualifying examination. Shortlisted candidates will be required to appear in and qualified the personal interview round conducted by the university.
- The university conducts a separate written test for students interested in taking admission to Ph. D. program.
- Candidates with a valid score in UGC NET, CSIR JRF, GATE, or JRF entrance examinations would also be considered eligible for admission to Ph. D. program.
KL University Admissions: Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility Criteria for B. Tech Admission
- Below mentioned are the eligibility criteria for admission to B. Tech program offered by the university:
- Candidates must have passed KL Engineering Entrance Exam, JEE Main, JEE Advanced, or State Level Engineering Entrance examination conducted across the country including EAMCET and merit in Sports or any cultural activities.
- The university also accepts Uni GAUGE score for admission to B. Tech program.
- Candidates must have passed 10+2 or any equivalent examination securing at least 60% marks in aggregate.
- They must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics including Biotechnology.
- Candidates with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology will be considered eligible for admission to B. Tech in Biotech and B. Pharmacy.
Eligibility Criteria for B. Arch
- Candidates must have passed 10+2 securing at least 60% marks in aggregate along with a valid score in KLEEE or NATA.
Eligibility Criteria for B. Pharmacy
- Candidates must have passed 10+2 securing at least 60% marks in aggregate in PCM/PCB along with a valid score in KLEEE.
Eligibility Criteria for B. Com, BBA, BBA LLB, BBA + MBA
- Admission to these programs is done based on candidates’ performance in the Written test along with an interview conducted by the university.
- Candidates must have passed 10+2 securing at least 55% marks in aggregate and must qualify the written test and interview round conducted by the university.
Eligibility Criteria for BCA, BA, B. Sc
- Admission to these programs is done based on candidates’ performance in the Written test along with an interview conducted by the university.
- Candidates must have passed 10+2 securing at least 55% marks in aggregate and must qualify the written test and interview round conducted by the university.
Eligibility Criteria for BFA, B. Sc-HM
- Admission to these programs is done based on candidates’ performance in the Written test along with an interview conducted by the university.
- Candidates must have passed senior secondary school securing at least 55% marks in aggregate along with the entrance examination.
Postgraduate Programs
M. Tech - Candidates must possess a B. Tech degree in the corresponding filed of engineering or technology along with securing at least 55% marks in aggregate.
- For admission to M. Tech Computer Science and Engineering, any M. Sc, or B. Tech in any branch of engineering will be considered eligible.
- Candidates seeking admission to M. Tech Biotechnology, candidates must possess a B. E or B. Tech degree in Chemical Engineering, Leather Technology, Biotech, Industrial Bio-Tech., Bio-Chemical Engg.,Bio-Informatics, B. Pharm. or M.Sc.(Ag.), M. V. Sc., M.Sc. in any branch of Life Sciences securing at least 55% marks in aggregate.
MBA
- Candidates seeking admission to MBA program must possess a bachelor’s degree in any field securing at least 55% marks in aggregate from any stream.
- Candidates must have secured a rank in KL Business School Aptitude Test along with Personal interview conducted by the university.
- Candidates with a valid score in ICET, MAT, CAT, or XAT will also be considered eligible for admission to the program.
- For admission to Academic Research Programs, candidates must possess an M. Phil, Ph. D., degree.
- International Admissions
- Foreign nationals, PIO holders, OCI (Dual Citizens), NRI Students, and NRI Sponsored students can apply under the category of International Admissions.
- 15% of the total seats at the university are reserved under the category of international admissions.
- Candidates seeking admission through International admissions category can reach up to the Office of International Relations of KLEF which is the nodal point for international admissions. The admission procedure for international students generally begins at the beginning of the academic year i.e. in July or August every year. Nevertheless, interested candidates can also take admission under exchange program for which they would be required to submit a memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
- Admission to the programs will be done based on the merit of the marks or grades obtained by candidates in the qualifying examinations (equivalent to the 10+2 examinations of India/Graduation/Post-Graduation).
- International Candidates will not be required to appear the entrance examination conducted for Indian students.
KL University Admissions: UG Programs
The K L university offers various programs at undergraduate level. These programs include B. Tech, B. Arch, B. Pharm, BBA, BCA, BHM, B. Sc, B. Com and LLB. These programs are offered under various specializations.
Admission B. Tech, B. Arch and B. Pharm
- For B. Tech, the candidates’ performances in KLUEEE, JEE Main, JEE Advanced, or EAMCET examinations are considered.
- Candidates with valid score in any other state level examinations are also eligible to apply.
- Candidates applying for B. Arch are required to hold a valid score in KLUEEE or NATA.
- For admission to B. Pharm, the candidates must have qualified EAMCET or any other state level examination.
Note* Candidates with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are eligible for B. Tech programs including Bio Technology. While, candidates with Physics, Chemistry and Biology are eligible for Bio Technology and B. Pharm.

- The programs are offered at undergraduate programs. The candidates seeking admission must meet the requirements of program they wish to pursue their career in.
- For admission to B. Sc, BCA, BBA and B. Com the candidates are required to have qualified written test conducted at the university followed by interview round.
- Admission to BA is based on the marks obtained in the last qualifying examination followed by an interview.
- While applying for LLB, the candidates must qualify the written examination conducted by the university along with the personal interview round.

The programs offered at the postgraduate level are M. Tech, MBA, M. Sc and M. Com. The candidates can choose their field as per their interests.
Admission to M. Tech, MBA, M. Sc, MA, and M. Com
- For admission to M. Tech, the candidates must qualify GATE examination.
- Candidates with valid score in KLU Entrance examination along with interview round conducted by the university are also eligible to apply.
- For admission to MBA, the candidates are shortlisted based on their scores in KLUBSAT or ICET examination.
- Candidates with valid score in CAT, MAT, and XAT are also eligible to apply for MBA.
- Admission to MA and M. Sc is based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the last qualifying examination followed by interview round conducted at the University.

Admission to M. Phil and PhD offered at KLU
- For M. Phil or PhD, the candidates are shortlisted based on their performance in the written test followed by personal interview round.
- Candidates with valid score in CSIR JRF/UGC NET/SLET/GATE examinations are also eligible to apply and do not have to take the written test.
- Besides, for PhD, the candidates who hold an M. Phil degree are not required to take the written test.

KL University: Application Procedure
- The candidates seeking admission to KLU can apply either Online or Offline.
- They can visit the official website of KLU and fill the application form. While filling the application for, they must process the payment of INR 1100 as application fee.
- For offline procedure, the candidates must obtain the application form from the university.
- A Demand Draft of INR 1100 must be drawn in favor of KL Deemed to be University payable at Vijaywada.

Placement: it is hard to get a placement like earning 10 lakhs per anom but if we try hard we will definitely get it. there are many seniors who have placed in MNC’s with better salary than i have mentioned. special care will be taken regarding placements from 2 year on wards.
