Hindustan University offers B. Tech and B. Arch programs as undergraduate programs. The minimum educational qualification for both programs varies from each other. The university offers B. Tech in Engineering and CSE/IT under several specializations.
- Candidates seeking admission to B. Tech and B. Arch are required to have passed senior secondary school from the science stream with Mathematics as one of the subjects securing at least 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized board

Hindustan University Admission to BBA, B. Com, BCA, B. Tech. MTM and B. Sc

Hindustan University Admission to M. Tech, MA, M. Sc, MBA, MCA, and M. Arch
All the programs offered by the university have different eligibility criteria. It also offers an integrated M. Tech course, admission to which is conducted through the HITSEEE entrance examination.
- Candidates seeking admission to M. Tech are required to hold a BE or B. Tech degree from a recognized university
- For admission to MA, the candidates must Hold a BA English literature degree securing at least 50 marks in aggregate
- For M.Sc, the candidates must hold a B.Sc degree securing at least 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized university
- Candidates with BBA, B. Com, BBM, B.Sc Mathematics, BE and B. Tech degrees can apply for the MBA program
- For admission to M. Arch, the candi9dates must hold a B. Arch degree with at least 55% marks in aggregate

M. Phil, Ph.D., and MS by Research programs are offered by the university under Research courses.

Application Procedure of Hindustan University
- To get themselves registered, the candidates are advised to visit the official website of Hindustan University
- An application form is to be filled out online.
- Candidates seeking admission to PG courses need to follow the offline mode of an application procedure.
- They need to download the application form and after filling the form they must submit it to the college with a demand draft of INR 1000 drawn in favor of Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science, payable at Chennai.
- The other courses follow the online mode of application for which the application fee is INR 925.
HITS also offers scholarships to students. Students belonging to the SC/ ST/ EWS category can avail of scholarships. Talented students are also offered the benefits of scholarships. A few of the Hindustan University scholarships are mentioned below:
- SC/ ST Scholarship Government of India: Candidates from Tamil Nadu who have completed Class 12 are eligible for this scholarship. The annual income of the parents should not be more than INR 1 LPA. The candidates should not receive another scholarship/assistance from other sources. The candidate can apply for a renewal of the scholarship every year.
- Merit cum Means Scholarship: Those students who score well in Class 12 are given financial assistance to continue their higher studies in HITS. This scholarship targets talented students from weaker sections of society.
- Sports Scholarship: It gives importance and assistance to the students who have performed well in sports over the years under its Sports Quota.
- Dr Elizabeth Verghese Founder Scholarship: This scholarship is targeted to empower girls, especially girls with good academic capabilities. So that they can pursue higher education. Girls who are from lower-income families are given emphasis.
- Merit Scholarship: The institute offers a tuition fee exemption for meritorious and exceptionally talented students.
