BPUT established in the year 2002 in a very short span of time has become one of the popular University in the state of Orissa. Its popularity is the reason today there is 110 colleges affiliated to BPUT (both constituent and affiliated) and around 58, 000 students are enrolled in these colleges under different programmes.
Biju Patnaik University of Technology is approved of University Grant Commission, AOA and AICTE. The BPUT is a state technical university which is since its establishment is offering various courses under its undergraduate, postgraduate, and research programmes. At present the courses are offered in the streams of Engineering, Business Management, Architecture, Hotel Management, Computer Studies and Pharmacy.
BPUT Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria of the courses offered by BPUT depends on the particular course opted by the student. However, depending upon the programme the basic eligibility criteria remains same.

Eligibility criteria for admission in Undergraduate courses at BPUT
Candidate aspiring to take admission in any of the undergraduate course at BPUT needs to have qualified 10+2 from a recognized board. The candidate must have an aggregate of 50% marks or equivalent in the board exam.
Application process for undergraduate course is completely online and candidate needs to visit the official website to apply for a particular course.
Allotment of the seats are completely based on merit list prepared on basis of the marks scored in last qualifying exam or the selection exam.

Candidate already qualified or is in final year of 10+2 with Science discipline of CBSE, Odisha or equivalent recognized board and must have Physics and Chemistry as mandatory subjects. Along with the mandatory subject candidate should also have at least one of the subjects from Mathematics, Biology, Biotechnology or vocational courses. Candidates in the last qualifying exam should have scored minimum of 45% marks if applying through general category. Candidates applying through reserved category should have scored 40% marks or equivalent from a recognized board with combining all the mentioned subjects. |
