Anna University Course and Fees 2023: Anna University is a pioneer institute of education in South India as well as in the country, as it earned 18 in the overall category and 14 in the universities category ranks in the list of NIRF 2023. The Institute offers various programs that can either be Regular, Distance, or Correspondence. Candidate on the basis of their needs can opt for either a full-time, part-time, or evening program. The programs offered are undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral.
The Department of Civil Engineering at Anna University holds the distinction of being the country’s oldest department of its kind. Its roots trace back to May 17, 1794, when the East India Company founded a Survey School with the purpose of instructing military personnel and surveyors. Over time, this institution evolved into a Civil Engineering School in 1858, eventually achieving the status of a Civil Engineering College in 1859.

Eligibility Criteria for Admission to Anna University:
Undergraduate Degree Courses:
Anna University at its undergraduate level offers both full-time and part-time courses in B.Com, BA, B.Sc., BBA, LLB, and so on. The programmes may be for 2, 3, or 4 years depending on the programme selected. The basic eligibility criteria for taking admission in any of these courses are qualifying 10+2 from a recognized board including state boards.
Postgraduate Degree Courses:
The institute offers a 2-year full-time postgraduate degree program other than various part-time programs. The courses offered under the postgraduate program are MBA, MA, M.Sc., LLM, etc. The candidate aspiring to get admission to any of the postgraduate programs at Anna University needs to have a valid graduation degree with a minimum qualifying score from a recognized university or institute.
Research and Doctoral Programme:
Anna University offers courses for research and doctoral level, particularly Masters of Philosophy (M.Phil) and PhD. The eligibility criteria for admission in the courses totally depend on the requirements of the project however the candidate should at least have a postgraduate degree in the relevant subject.
