According to reports, Chief Justice of India (CJI) DY Chandrachud had scheduled the subject for tomorrow, July 12, but it was later postponed till Monday. According to the report, the CJI posted the NEET matter for July 18 after the Solicitor General (SG) reported difficulties for Monday and Tuesday. A retest must be conducted if the NEET-UG 2024's validity is "lost," according to the court led by Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud. The timing of the NEET paper leak and the interval between the leak and the test were also inquired about from the National Testing Agency (NTA) and the CBI.
In addition, more than fifty Gujarat-based NEET students who were successful would present a separate plea to the bench asking for an order preventing the Center from canceling the medical entrance exam. We'll grant you a full day. We would like all petitioners' attorneys to submit a single set of materials to us on Wednesday, requesting a retest. According to the Live Law, CJI stated, "We want you all to sit down and give us one consolidated set of submissions not exceeding 10 pages."
The bench also observed that the NEET paper leak spreads like wildfire if it was discovered on social media sites like WhatsApp, Telegram, and other electronic media. After an unusual number of candidates received flawless scores of 100 percentile in the NEET, there were allegations of paper leaks and irregularities. 67 contestants in all received a score of 720 out of 720. In order to grant admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, and other medical courses at government and private institutions across the nation, the NTA organized the NEET UG 2024 exam on May 5.
