Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has announced an earlier start for the 2025 board examinations for both SSC (Class 10) and HSC (Class 12) students. Scheduled from February 11 to March 18 for Class 12 and February 21 to March 17 for Class 10, these dates mark a strategic shift to accelerate the academic and admissions schedule across the state.

The Class 10 exams were conducted from March 1 to March 26 and the Class 12 exams were conducted from February 21 to March 14 in the previous academic session. The exams will be set early to allow early declaration of results, which will assist students prepare for other exams such as entrance exams for the next academic year.
HSC, SSC 2024 Academic Performance
During the last academic session, MSBSHSE saw significant participation and achievement rates:
- Class 10: Out of 15,60,154 registered students, 15,49,326 appeared for the exams with a pass percentage of 94.56% for boys and 97.21% for girls.
- Class 12: The overall pass percentage stood at 93.37%, with science students achieving a high of 97.82%, followed by commerce at 92.18%, and arts at 85.88%.
