XAT Cutoff Determining Factors
While preparing the XAT Cutoff 2025 several factors are taken into account. The most important factors taken into consideration are listed below.
Number of Applicants: The number of applicants who appear in the XAT Exam is the most important factor when determining the XAT Cutoff. The higher the number of candidates, the higher the cutoff range that can be expected.
Difficulty Level of the Exam: Another important factor is the difficulty level of the XAT Exam. The more difficult the exam, the lower will be the cutoff range.
Availability of Seats: The third factor is the availability of seats. If the seats are less, the XAT Cutoff will be higher to accumulate the best chunk of students. But if the number of seats is more, there are chances that the cutoffs will be lower in order to fill the seats.

What After the Declaration of XAT Cutoff 2025?
Once the XAT Cutoff list is released by XLRI, the XAT Selection Procedure begins. All those who meet the minimum cutoff criteria for XAT Exam, will be then shortlisted for the WAT-GD and PI Rounds. The shortlisted candidates will need to fill out a form for the further steps on the official XLRI Website. The shortlisting criteria for GD and PI also takes into account the Class 10th and 12th Marks along with the essay written in the XAT Exam.
The XLRI PI Round is conducted in February and March in Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, and Jamshedpur. Those who clear these rounds are then offered admission to the institutes. The offer letter is sent to the candidates by end of May. Candidate's academic records along with the work profile are also taken into consideration for admission. It must be noted that some institutes may conduct their own writing test or a group discussion for admissions in addition to accepting the XAT Score.
