New Update About NEET UG 2024

IIM Lucknow has revised CAT Admit Card 2023 release date. CAT Admit Card will now be released on 7 November 2023 @iimcat.ac.in. The release date of CAT Admit Card was previously set to be 25 October. Candidates will be able to download their respective CAT Admit Cards until the exam day by using their CAT login ID and password. The CAT 2023 Exam will be held on November 26 at approximately 400 test centres across 150 cities. The exam will be divided into three slots and will last two hours. Candidates will be able to take the test at the centre only if they bring a hard copy of their CAT 2023 Admit Card.

Through the NEET exam pattern 2023, applicants will pick up an understanding about the exam pattern, division of questions, exam duration, marking scheme and other important data. By knowing these details, through the NEET exam pattern 2023, the candidates will have the capacity to make exhaustive arrangements for the MBBS and BDS selection examination.

NEET 2024 will be conducted in an offline mode for every single enrolled candidate. The entrance examination of NEET 2024 will be 3 hours in length and will comprise of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).

NEET Total Marks is 720.

NEET Exam Pattern is briefly explained below:

  • The test will comprise of 180 objective type questions (four options with the single correct answer) from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany & Zoology) to be answered on the specially designed machine-gradable sheet using Ball Point Pen provided by CBSE at the test center.
  •  Each correct answer will be awarded 4 marks. Maximum marks are 720.
  •  Negative marking is applicable. 1 Mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.
  •  The duration of the test will be 3 hours

 Language of the Question Papers:

  • Candidates can opt for Question Paper in ten languages -Hindi, English, Gujarati, Marathi, Telugu, Bengali, Assamese, Tamil, Oriya and Kannada.
  • The option of the medium of Question Paper should be exercised while filling in the application form and
  • the option once exercised by candidates cannot be changed later.
  • Candidates opting for English would be provided Test Booklet in English only and the candidates
  • opting for Hindi would be provided Bilingual Test Booklet i.e. in Hindi and in English.
  • In case of any ambiguity in translation of any of the questions, its English version shall be treated as final.

NEET Exam Pattern Highlights:

  • NEET 2024 would be held in an offline mode.
  • The candidates would be able to select their choice of language from the given options while filling the NEET Application.
  • All the questions would be multiple choice based.
  • 1 mark would be deducted for every wrong answer given.

NEET Marking Scheme:

  • Total Marks: The question paper would bear a total of 720 marks.
  • Marking Scheme: Every question would be carrying 4 marks. Total of 4 marks would be given for every correct answer by the candidate.
  • Negative Marking: One mark would be deducted for every incorrect response given by the candidate.
  • Candidates would be required to use only blue/black ball point pen to be able to mark their answers.
  • Candidates noting down multiple answers for one question shall lead to negative marking.
