IIM Lucknow has revised CAT Admit Card 2023 release date. CAT Admit Card will now be released on 7 November 2023 @iimcat.ac.in. The release date of CAT Admit Card was previously set to be 25 October. Candidates will be able to download their respective CAT Admit Cards until the exam day by using their CAT login ID and password. The CAT 2023 Exam will be held on November 26 at approximately 400 test centres across 150 cities. The exam will be divided into three slots and will last two hours. Candidates will be able to take the test at the centre only if they bring a hard copy of their CAT 2023 Admit Card.
MAT Cutoff Percentiles for MBA/PGDM programs are determined individually by the MAT participating institutes. The institutes then use this cutoff to select the candidates for the Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds which is the main selection criteria for MBA admissions. The MAT cutoffs are released by the participating institutes for each academic session at the time of admissions. The cutoffs typically remain the same for all sessions and range between 65-95 percentile. Candidates can use any MAT score to seek admission for the management programs if they meet the cutoff requirements.
Important: MAT 2024 Exam Dates
The MAT 2024 cutoff will be determined by several factors like the number of seats available, total test takers, and the previous year's cutoff. While most colleges prefer considering the overall MAT score and percentile, some colleges use the composite MAT score and the sectional percentile for MAT. The MAT Exam composite score is calculated based on the candidate's performance in 4 sections - Mathematical Skills, Intelligence & Critical Reasoning, Language Comprehension, and Data Analysis & Interpretation. The cutoff is then arrived at by calculating the composite score on a scale of 199 - 801.
Read in detail all about the MAT cutoff, expected MAT cutoff 2024, previous year's cutoff and the top colleges accepting the MAT scores here.
Also Read: MAT Score Vs Percentile
MAT Cutoff is nothing, but the minimum score that a candidate must obtain to qualify for the Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) round of the several MAT participating institutes for admission to their MBA/PGDM programs. It is important to learn about the MAT cutoff as it will help the students choose the right college and also them with their MAT preparation. An estimate about the MAT 2024 cutoff will help the applicants set a strategy on how may questions they should attempt in the MAT exam to clear the required cutoff.
Candidates can check the MAT Cutoff for the top B-schools that accept the MAT Score. The expected cutoff has been arrived at by using the past year trends and the expected difficulty level for MAT 2024.

Every college accepting the MAT score has its own individual selection process. While some admit students based purely on the score, some conduct their own selection procedure to filter out only the best candidates from the crowd. The selection process is divided into three stages.
A higher weightage is often given to the candidate's performance in the Written Ability Test (WAT). The reason here is that it is easy to judge a candidate by their writing than the GD/PI. A soft spoken candidate may lose his seat because he could not perform well in the GD round but may actually be a worthy fit. So the students and applicants are advised to prepare well for the selection rounds.
Post the selection rounds, the students need to appear for the MAT Counselling and should ensure to carry the following documents.

The MAT cutoff 2024 is the minimum score required to be eligible for admission to a particular MBA college. The cutoff varies from college to college, and is also influenced by factors such as the number of seats available, the overall performance of the candidates, and the difficulty level of the exam.
The percentile score in MAT is a measure of how well you have performed compared to other candidates who took the exam. A percentile score of 90 means that you scored better than 90% of the candidates. The percentile score is used to calculate the cutoff for admission to MBA colleges.
The MAT score required for top MBA colleges varies from college to college. However, a score of 90 percentile or above is generally required for admission to top MBA colleges.
You can apply to any of the five MAT Colleges (seven if you take the MAT 2024 in both modes).
Each management institute releases a separate cut off and merit list based on MAT score for participating in counselling and seat allotment, and the MAT rank list/Merit list will carry the list of candidates who will qualify to take part in the selection process of different institutes.
No, AIMA does not hold a centralized counseling process for MBA admission via MAT. The role of AIMA is limited to administering the MAT exam and preparing the results. Their role in the MBA process is limited to sharing candidate results/scorecards with the MAT participating institutes that they have selected in the MAT application form.
