Joint Entrance Examination Main 2024

IIM Lucknow has revised CAT Admit Card 2023 release date. CAT Admit Card will now be released on 7 November 2023 @iimcat.ac.in. The release date of CAT Admit Card was previously set to be 25 October. Candidates will be able to download their respective CAT Admit Cards until the exam day by using their CAT login ID and password. The CAT 2023 Exam will be held on November 26 at approximately 400 test centres across 150 cities. The exam will be divided into three slots and will last two hours. Candidates will be able to take the test at the centre only if they bring a hard copy of their CAT 2023 Admit Card.
As per the official notification released by the National Testing Agency (NTA) which is the conducting body of JEE Main Exam, the exam dates, until further notice, have been postponed in order to prevent the spread of Coronavirus. Students who applied for the examination have been granted more time to prepare themselves for one of the toughest examinations conducted across the country. Here is what students must prepare for and how the question paper is designed.
The National Testing Agency released JEE Main Exam Pattern along with the official notification on the official website of JEE Main i.e. jeemain.nta.nic.in. NTA being the examination conducting authority announces the detailed exam pattern of JEE Main including number of questions and what type of questions are asked in the exam. There have been several changes introduced in the exam pattern of JEE Main Exam. JEE Main 2024 would contain 3 papers in which students can appear based on the eligibility criteria defined by NTA. Besides, there will be separated exam papers for B. E./B. Tech, B. Arch., and B. Planning courses.
The questions asked in JEE Main Exam are of multiple-choice type. Candidates appearing in any of the three papers must ensure that they fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria defined by the National Testing Agency. Besides, candidates should be aware of number of questions and what type of questions are asked in the paper.
Before appearing for the exam, it is important for students to go through the exam pattern as it can help them attain an idea of nature of the exam, what weightage is given to each section, and duration of the exam. There are various other features of the national level entrance examination that students can have look at by going through the examination pattern.
Note* Candidates can apply for both B. Arch and B. Planning Papers, in such case the duration to complete the exam would increase to 3 hours 30 minutes.

The question paper is divided in three sections namely Mathematics, Aptitude, and Drawing. Mathematics and Aptitude sections are conducted online i.e. through computer-based mode while, Drawing section needs to be done offline through pen and paper mode.

As per the exam pattern of JEE Main 2023 Exam, for students appearing for paper 1, the question paper has a total of 75 questions distributed amongst three sections of the exam i.e. Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry. These 75 questions contribute to a total of 300 marks.
As per the marking scheme of jee main exam, candidates will be rewarded with +4 marks for every correct answer and there will be a penalty of 1 mark for every incorrect answer. In case of numerical value questions, candidates will be allotted +4 marks for every correct answer and there is no negative marking for incorrect answers.
The question paper is divided amongst three sections namely Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. There are total 75 questions and each section will consist of 25 questions.
