JEE Main is one of the most important and tough engineering entrance examinations conducted across the country. Those who wish to study engineering at one of the NITs or IIITs must pass the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2024. Every year, almost 10 lakh candidates appear in the JEE Exam in order to be eligible for admission to the IIITs, NITs, and the other prominent engineering institutes. The exam is the most challenging exam and hence, it requires a proper preparation strategy in order to be cracked. Students can follow the below mentioned JEE Main Preparation Tips to score well in the examination:

JEE Main Cutoff has been divided into the JEE Main Qualifying Cutoff and the admission Cutoff. JEE Qualifying Cutoff is the minimum score that candidates must score in order to sit for the JEE Advanced 2024. JEE Admission Cutoff is the minimum rank required for admission to the NITS, IIITs, and GFTIs. There are various factors that define the cutoff of JEE Main Exam. These factors include the difficulty level of the exam, number of students who took the exam, candidates' category, cutoff trend over the past years and the number of students applying for a particular program.
JEE Main 2024 Cutoff will be released after the announcement of the final results of the examination. Meanwhile, the candidates can check the previous years' JEE Main Cutoff for all the categories. JEE Main cutoff for the general category students has increased over the past 2 years while the cutoff for all the other reserved categories has seen a drop in the trend.
JEE Main Admission Cutoff is defined as the minimum rank required by candidates for admission to B. Tech/ B. Arch/ B. Planning programs in the JEE Main Participating Colleges. Candidates can also refer to the JEE Mains Marks vs Percentile in order to check the relation between these two. JEE Main cutoff is made available in the form of opening and closing ranks which is released after every round of JoSAA Counselling. By taking a look at the previous year JEE Main Cutoff stats, candidates can get an idea of what they can expect from the JEE Main 2024 Admission Cutoff.

The counselling process for admission to the IITs, NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs is organized by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) Counselling. If candidates appearing in JEE Main 2024 obtain any score must register themselves for the JoSAA Counselling for admission to the NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs. Candidates who appear and qualify in the JEE Advanced Exam will also be required to register for the JoSAA 2024 Counselling for admission to the IIITs. The process of registering for the counselling must be done online and the allotment of seats is done based on the All India Rank of candidates.
The participating institutes of JEE Main Exam are the college that offer admission to students based on the JoSAA Counselling. The admission is done into Engineering, Architecture, and Planning programs offered by these JEE Main Accepting Colleges. Besides, JEE Main Participating Institutes, there are many colleges that offer admission based on the marks obtained by candidates in the exam and not a party of JoSAA Counselling.
There are total 31 NITs, 25 IIITs, and 19 GFTIs that participate in the JoSAA Counselling. The number of seats in these institutes changes every year. The other institutes which offer admission based on the JEE Main Scores are from the states which do not conduct their own entrance examination for admission to their engineering programs.

There are only two sessions in which the exam is being conducted in 2024. JEE Main 2023 is scheduled to be conducted in January and April sessions. The JEE Main Exam Date has been released and JEE Main 2024 Phase 1 will be conducted from 24 January to 1 February, 2024 while JEE Main 2024 Phase 2 from 1 April to 15 April 2024.
There are various advantages of multiple sessions of JEE Main 2024: 1) This will provide JEE Aspirants with multiple opportunities to improve their scores and do well in the next examination. 2) During their first attempt, students will get a firsthand experience of taking an exam and know their mistakes that can be further improved while writing the exam for the next time. 3) This has reduced the chances of students to drop a year and those who already are droppers would not have to waste a full year. 4) Candidates need not appear in all the sessions of JEE Main.
Candidates can apply for as many sessions as they want. Students will be required to process the payment of application fee accordingly.
Yes. Candidates have to fill up separate application forms for both the sessions.
Yes. Candidates will be given this opportunity to apply for the upcoming session examination. The registration window will be re-opened immediately after JEE Main Result of current session is declared.
No. It is not mandatory to process the payment of jee main application fee for all the sessions in one go. While filling the application form, candidates will be required to choose the number of sessions they will be appearing in.
The difficulty level of the examination ranges from moderate to difficult. Since qualifying this exam is a gateway for admission to the top engineering colleges in India and appearance of lakhs of candidates make it difficult to crack.
The need for a coaching center for preparation is entirely subjective and depends on the caliber and preferences of the student. Your performance is also constantly being analyzed to help you. On the other hand, self-study has its own advantages. You can save travel time, energy and money. Self-study can be very focused during school conferences.
JEE Main Exam 2024 will be conducted in 13 languages namely Assamese, Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu in addition to Hindi, English and Gujarati.
JEE Main is undoubtedly the most challenging engineering entrance examination conducted across the country. Qualifying the examination will get students admission to IIITs, NITs, and IITs.
