New Update About IIT JAM 2025
IIM Lucknow has revised CAT Admit Card 2023 release date. CAT Admit Card will now be released on 7 November 2023 @iimcat.ac.in. The release date of CAT Admit Card was previously set to be 25 October. Candidates will be able to download their respective CAT Admit Cards until the exam day by using their CAT login ID and password. The CAT 2023 Exam will be held on November 26 at approximately 400 test centres across 150 cities. The exam will be divided into three slots and will last two hours. Candidates will be able to take the test at the centre only if they bring a hard copy of their CAT 2023 Admit Card.

IIT JAM 2024 Counselling: Check Latest Updates
IIT JAM Counselling for the year 2024 is scheduled to commence in April 2024. The official admission portal will become accessible starting from April 2, 2024, at the authorized website, jam.iitm.ac.in. IIT Madras will periodically release the admission list following each round of counseling. This list will comprise institution-specific opening and closing ranks categorized separately for General, EWS, SC, ST, OBC, and PwD candidates. We will provide an updated direct link to the PDF document once it is released.
In the IIT JAM 2024 application form, candidates are required to specify their preferences regarding institutions and make other necessary choices. Interested candidates can actively participate in the IIT MSc admission procedure by visiting the official IIT Madras website. Subsequently, shortlisted candidates will receive invitations for the JAM 2024 counseling phase, during which they must upload the requisite documents and secure their IIT JAM seats by paying the seat booking fees. What are CCMN and JOAPS Counselling?
The Centralized Common Counselling for M.Sc. (CCMN) is an annual nationwide counseling process designed for securing admission to Master's programs in Science at NITs and CFTIs. CCMN Counseling is administered online and involves the participation of 22 different institutes. It's essential to note that CCMN Counseling 2024 should not be confused with IIT JAM Counseling 2024. CCMN is specifically intended for admissions into courses offered by NITs and CFTIs, whereas IIT JAM Counseling is geared towards admissions into IITs and IISc institutes.
IIT JAM 2024 Eligibility Criteria
- The eligibility criteria for the participating institutes in IIT JAM 2024 are as follows:
- The candidate should have appeared for the IIT JAM 2024 Examination.
- Candidates are required to meet the IIT JAM Cutoffs 2024 for their respective streams.
- Candidates should hold a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) degree with either a minimum CGPA of 6.5 or an aggregate of 60% marks. For SC/ST/PwD candidates, the requirement is a minimum CGPA of 6.0 or 55% in aggregate.
- Candidates who are in their final year of B.Sc are also eligible if they can complete their degree without any pending backlogs in the current academic session.
IIT JAM Counselling Process 2024
The Indian Institute of Technology Madras will release the IIT JAM counseling date on the official website. To gain a better understanding of the JAM counseling procedure for 2024, candidates are encouraged to follow the guidelines outlined below:
The CCMN Counseling Process consists of the following steps:
- Registration and Choice Locking: In the initial stage, candidates need to register for the exam, pay the registration fees, and select the colleges for admission. Subsequently, candidates must lock their choices within a specified deadline.
- Seat Allotment: Seats will be allocated to candidates based on their scores in the IIT JAM exam, the IIT JAM Cutoffs, the total number of candidates taking the exam, and other relevant factors. Candidates are required to submit a seat allocation fee (for the first round only).
- Online Submission of Documents: Candidates are obligated to submit their documents for verification, and this process will be conducted online. Detailed instructions regarding document submission and verification will be provided.
- Acceptance/Rejection of Seat: Candidates will be given the option to either accept the allocated seat or choose to upgrade it. If a candidate is dissatisfied with the assigned seat, they may opt to reject it. Various choices are available for the Acceptance/Withdrawal process, which will be elaborated upon in the following section.
- The final step in the CCMN Counseling process entails candidates physically attending the allotted institute for document verification. After successful document verification, candidates will be required to complete their enrollment at the institute.

Candidates are obliged to bring both the original documents and photocopies of all the necessary paperwork for IIT JAM Counselling 2024. Digital copies of ID proofs will not be considered valid. IIT JAM 2024 Counselling Fee: Instructions
Listed below are the guidelines that all eligible candidates who have successfully cleared the JAM 2024 examination must adhere to during the counseling process. To participate in the JAM 2024 counseling sessions, candidates are required to remit the admission fee.
- The payment must be made exclusively in cash.
- Please be aware that the IIT JAM counseling payment is non-refundable. Additionally, there will be applicable bank charges.
- Once the payment is completed, candidates should scan and upload the E-Challan with the SBI stamp for IIT JAM 2024.
- The scanned image on the admission page of the official website in JPEG/PDF format.
