New Update About IIT JAM 2025
IIM Lucknow has revised CAT Admit Card 2023 release date. CAT Admit Card will now be released on 7 November 2023 @iimcat.ac.in. The release date of CAT Admit Card was previously set to be 25 October. Candidates will be able to download their respective CAT Admit Cards until the exam day by using their CAT login ID and password. The CAT 2023 Exam will be held on November 26 at approximately 400 test centres across 150 cities. The exam will be divided into three slots and will last two hours. Candidates will be able to take the test at the centre only if they bring a hard copy of their CAT 2023 Admit Card.

IIT Delhi has announced the IIT JAM exam date today, 3rd September 2024. The IIT JAM registrations have opened on the official website - jam2025.iitd.ac.in and the candidates can register for the exam till 11th October 2024. The IIT JAM 2025 exam will be conducted on 2nd February 2025 as an online computer-based-test. The exam will be conducted across 100 cities in the nation for admission to the various MSc, and integrated MSc and PhD programs offered by the 22 participating IITs.
The IIT JAM application process will entirely be carried out through the JOAPS admission portal, and the candidates will be registering themselves using the email ID, phone number, and password. What is the IIT JAM exam?
The Joint Admission Test for MSc (JAM) is an all India national level examination conducted by the Indian Institute of Technologies (IITs) every year on a rotational basis on behalf of the Ministry of Human Resource Development , Government of India. The IIT JAM exam is conducted for admission to the various MSc and integrated MSc PhD courses offered by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bengaluru. Several National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs) also accept JAM scores for MSc admissions. The exam is conducted for admission to the programmes offered in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Economics and Mathematical Statistics courses.

IIT JAM Eligibility Criteria
Before the aspirants start applying for the IIT JAM exam 2025, they must check in detail the eligibility criteria for the exam. The eligibility criteria states the minimum qualification to appear for the exam, the age limit, passing marks to apply and more. - In order to fulfil the IIT JAM 2025 eligibility criteria, candidates should hold a bachelor's degree. Earlier, there was a CGPA cutoff, but this year onwards, candidates need to just pass the qualifying degree.
- Candidates who have appeared or will appear for their graduation exams in 2025 are also eligible to apply, provided they submit the proof by September 2025.
- For the admission process, candidates who pass the IIT JAM 2025 exam will be eligible to apply for the admission process.
- Age Limit: There is no age limit to appear for IIT JAM 2025 exam.

Step 1: IIT JAM Registration

- Enter the details as requested - Name, Email ID, Phone Number, and Create a Password
- The IIT JAM details or credentials for login will then be shared to your registered Email ID. Ensure that the email ID provided is fully functional as all the communication will be sent through that email address
Step 2: Filling out the IIT JAM Application Form
Once the registration process is completed, the next step is to complete the IIT JAM application. Follow the below instructions to complete the application form.
- Visit the official website
- Enter the login credentials shared on the registered email after the registration process was completed
- Fill in the remaining details like personal, contact, educational details, and any other details as asked in the form
- Upload all the necessary documents like education documents, and a scanned passport-sized photograph and signature
- Check and review the information filled in the application form. A correction window will also be available to rectify the details if wrongly filled
Step 3: Pay the IIT JAM Application Fee and Schedule the Exam

IIT JAM 2025 Mock Test
IIT JAM 2025 mock test will be released by IIT Delhi on its official website in the month of January 2025, tentatively.
Candidates should take the mock test of IIT JAM 2024 for better preparation and get accustomed to the exam format and navigation scheme. To take the mock test, candidates need to follow the steps given below:

IIT JAM Previous Year Question Paper
The exam authorities released the IIT JAM 2024 question papers a few days after the exam, along with the provisional answer keys. The IIT JAM question papers are released for each paper/subject in PDF format. Candidates can download the question paper of IIT JAM as per their preferred subject from the official website. Aspirants planning to take the test next year must solve the IIT JAM question papers of previous years to strengthen their IIT JAM Preparation.
IIT JAM 2025 Answer Key
IIT Delhi will likely be releasing the IIT JAM 2025 answer key in the second week of February 2025. Candidates can download the IIT JAM 2025 answer key by using their login credentials, and in case of any discrepancy, candidates will be able to submit challenges within the time issued by the authority by logging into the IIT JAM 2025 candidate portal.
Candidates will also be given the option to file objections against the provisional IIT JAM 2025 answer keys by paying a fee of INR 500 per question. Candidates' OMR sheets will be released along with the answer keys. With the help of the answer keys of IIT JAM 2025, candidates can calculate their estimated scores in the exam and assume which college and branch they are likely to get admission to. The final answer keys will be released along with the result.
IIT JAM Result
The IIT JAM Result is expected to be released online on March 19, 2025 on the official website of the IIT JAM Exam/JOAPS portal. Candidates will be able to download their IIT JAM Scorecards using their registered email ID or Registration Number and password. The scorecard declares the candidate's All India Rank (AIR) and only the qualified candidates will be eligible to participate in the counselling rounds and the further admission process.

IIT JAM 2025 online application process for counselling will start on April 2, 2025, onwards. Test takers who have qualified for the JAM 2025 examination will be eligible to sit in the JAM 2025 admission counselling process. Selection of the candidates is done as per the merit secured in IIT JAM 2025. Four rounds of admissions are planned but the number of rounds of admission or counselling rounds may increase in case the seats remain vacant. What is IIT JAM??
IIT JAM is a national exam that is given to select candidates for enrollment in MSc and integrated MSc programmes offered by universities that recognise IIT JAM marks for admission. The IITs and Indian Institute of Science together host IIT JAM (IISC). Colleges that take part in the exam alternately administer IIT JAM.
When will the application procedure for IIT JAM 2025 take place??
The application period for IIT JAM 2025 is ongoing since September 3, 2024, and the last date to apply for the exam is October 11, 2024.
What qualifications are required for IIT JAM??
If a candidate has a bachelor’s degree in a science field relating to one of the seven disciplines or papers of the IIT JAM test, they are qualified to sit for the 2023 exam. Additionally, candidates who have taken or will take their graduation examinations in 2025 are allowed to apply. Up to 2021, their qualifying degree had an eligibility aggregate of 55% (General category) and 50% (Reserved category). IIT JAM’s eligibility requirements, however, were loosened to only pass last year. There is no upper age limit for taking the IIT JAM 2025 exam.
Is IIT JAM difficult??
According to experts, passing the IIT JAM exam is challenging. This isn’t due to the extremely difficult questions being presented, but rather to the poor selection rate for the IIT JAM exam. This does not, however, imply that the exam’s questions are simple.
How many exams are there in IIT JAM??
IIT JAM 2025 is being conducted for seven subjects, namely - Mathematical Statistics (MS), Mathematics (MA), Physics (PH), Economics (EN), Chemistry (CY), Geology (GG), and Biotechnology (BT).
