IIM Lucknow has revised CAT Admit Card 2023 release date. CAT Admit Card will now be released on 7 November 2023 @iimcat.ac.in. The release date of CAT Admit Card was previously set to be 25 October. Candidates will be able to download their respective CAT Admit Cards until the exam day by using their CAT login ID and password. The CAT 2023 Exam will be held on November 26 at approximately 400 test centres across 150 cities. The exam will be divided into three slots and will last two hours. Candidates will be able to take the test at the centre only if they bring a hard copy of their CAT 2023 Admit Card.

CAT Registration 2024 has been extended till September 20, 2024. Previously, the last date to fill the CAT Application Form was September 13. The CAT Exam Form can be filled out on the official website. As per the official notice, the CAT 2024 Application Process began on 1st August 2024.
IIM Calcutta is the conducting body of CAT Exam 2024 and the direct link to apply for the exam is available at iimcat.ac.in website. The revised CAT Registration 2024 last date is 20th September, 2024.

CAT 2024 Registration Dates
It is important for candidates to keep track of the schedule in which the events take place so as to not miss out on them. Now that the official notice has been released, candidates can now check the exact CAT Important Dates. Check below the CAT Form Date 2024, CAT Admit Card Date, and other related dates:
Similar to the trend of past years, the examination body has extended the deadline i.e. the last date to apply for CAT Exam by almost a week. The last date to apply for the exam is now September 20. It is advisable to apply for the exam at the earliest in order to avoid any inconvenience and get the exam city of your choice.
CAT 2024 Registration Highlights
CAT 2024 Exam Date is 24 November 2024 and IIM Calcutta will conduct the exam in about 170 exam cities. While filling the CAT Application Form, candidates can choose up to 5 cities as test city as per their preference. CAT Application Form 2024 - Who Can Apply?
Candidates willing to apply for CAT 2024 Exam must ensure that they fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria defined. Candidates who are not eligible for the exam will not be allowed to fill the CAT Application Form. They must go through the CAT Eligibility before they apply for the exam.
Read the points mentioned below to check if you are eligible for the exam or not:
- Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in any field from a recognized university. They must have secured at least 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PwD candidates).
- No work experience required.
- CAT Age Limit – No minimum CAT age limit to fill CAT Application Form 2024.
- Candidates in their final year can also apply for the exam given they must submit their passing certificate by the stipulated time for the same.

The IIM CAT 2024 Registration process includes several steps such as registration, filling out of application form, uploading of documents, and paying of CAT exam fees. - Navigate to and click on “New Candidate Registration”
- If not already registered, click on “Registered Candidate Login”.
- Enter basic details and proceed to fill out the cat application form.

Step 1 - CAT 2024 Registration
Follow the steps mentioned below for online CAT Registration 2024:
- Go to the official CAT Website iimcat.ac.in.
- Navigate to and click on ‘New Candidate Registration'.
- Enter personal details such as name, date of birth, email id, mobile number, and nationality.
- Click on the ‘Generate OTP' tab.

After the successful registration, an OTP is generated and sent to your registered mobile number.
- Verify CAT 2024 Registration by entering the OTP sent to you in the given field.
New Candidate Registration for CAT 2024:
Click on New Candidates Registration for CAT 2024 to generate CAT Application Number and Password. CAT Login Credentials – CAT Application Number and Password will be used to fill CAT Application Form.

Details to be filled in CAT 2024 Registration page:
- Name of Candidate – This should be the same as it is in 10th class certificate.
- Date of Birth – Candidates must use the calendar icon to select their date of birth.
- Email Address – Enter the correct email address which is valid and unique as the OTP and any related information will be sent to the registered email id.
- Mobile Number – The number entered should be valid and unique. Candidates will receive an OTP for verification on their registered mobile number.
- OTP – Enter the OTP received on your registered mobile number or email address to proceed for filling CAT Application Form.
- I Agree – Click on ‘I Agree' Checkbox in the declaration section.
Confirmation of CAT 2024 Registration
Right after the submission of CAT Registration form, candidates will receive their login details through an email on their registered email address with the subject line “CAT 2024 Successful Registration”.
Note* This completes the CAT Registration Process. The next step is to fill the CAT Application Form.

Step 2 - Filling Out of CAT 2024 Application Form
After verifying the registered mobile number, you will receive a User ID and Password on your registered mobile number and email ID. To fill the CAT Exam Form 2024, you will have to log in using the CAT 2024 User ID and Password.
Note* In case you forget your user id and password, click on the “Forgot User Id and Password” button to recover the same. The user id and password will again be sent to your registered email id. It will not be sent to your registered mobile number.
After you have logged in to the website, you will be redirected to the application details page.
There are several sections in the CAT Form and you are required to fill the relevant and correct details in all the sections of the form. If the details are correct, only then the form filling will be considered successful. Check below "How to Fill CAT Application Form 2024?”.
Personal Details - In this section of CAT Exam Form, the candidates must fill in the details such as:
- Name
- DOB
- Father's name
- Category
- Gender
- Nationality
- Address

Uploading of Important Documents
Below are the important documents that candidates must upload while filling the cat application form:
A passport sized Photograph and Signatures are mandatory for every candidate applying for CAT 2024.
The other documents need to be submitted if candidates have filled ‘yes' in some particular columns.
Documents Required to be Uploaded
Educational Details - This CAT Form section demands details such as 10th and 12th class marks, bachelor's degree details, and all the marksheet obtained.
Don't forget to mention your grades, cgpa, percentage of marks or board/university and other related details.

Work Experience - This section of CAT Application Form is only relevant for candidates who have relevant work experience. They can fill in the details such as the name of the company they worked for, duration of their employment, designation, etc.
Following are the instructions one must know or follow:
- Only full-time experience after graduation must be entered.
- Any Part Time/Project/Internship/Article ship/Pre graduation work experience will not be considered and hence, must not be entered.
- Date when you started working in the industry and the date you left that particular industry must be entered correctly.
- Save and Continue.
- It is NOT MANDATORY.
MBA Program - Here, the candidate has to select their preferred IIM Institutes and the MBA Program they wish to pursue their education.
- Select the preferred IIM for admission
- Select the preferred city for IIM Interview Process
Test City - In CAT Exam Form, candidates can mark their preferred CAT Exam City. They can select up to six CAT Exam Cities in order of preference from the dropdown. They must choose cities in their order of preference.
- The final allotment of CAT Exam Centre will be made based on the availability of seats in that particular centre.
- Once allotted, CAT 2024 Exam Centre will not be changed under any circumstances.
Payment - Pay the CAT Exam Fees using credit/debit card, internet banking or Paytm/PayU mobile wallets.
Step 3 - CAT Registration Fees Payment
This is the last step towards filling out the CAT Application Form. Candidates must make the payment of cat application fee. After finishing the details in the first five sections of the cat exam form, navigate to and click on the ‘Save and Continue' tab to proceed to make the payment on the fee payment window.

What is CAT Exam Fees?

Once the candidate has successfully completed filling the CAT Application Form and made payment of CAT Registration Fees, he/she will receive a confirmation email on their registered email id from the concerned CAT authorities regarding the successful submission of CAT Application 2024.
Note* This email is very important for further correspondence, do not delete this email in any case.
Documents Required for CAT 2024 Application Form
Candidates applying for the exam must mention personal as well as academic details while filling the CAT Application Form 2024. So, candidates must keep the below mentioned documents at hand to enter the accurate details:

CAT Application Form Correction Window 2024

Candidates must note that not every detail can be edited but only a few options will be provided. Candidates can rectify the mistakes made in scanned images of photographs, signatures, or CAT Exam City preference during the time cat application form correction window is open. Also, candidates can make changes to the test city option.
CAT 2024 Registration - Details that can not be edited in the CAT Application Form

Forgot CAT 2024 User ID and Password?
In case any candidate has forgotten CAT Registration / User ID and password then they must follow the below mentioned steps in order to recover the same:
- Visit the CAT 2024 Official Website and click on the Candidate Login Tab.
- Navigate to and click on ‘Forgot Password or Forgot Registration ID'.
- Candidates will be redirected to the password or registration ID generation page.
- Reset your password by generating and OTP. This can also be done by answering the security question.
- Similarly, in order to recover the registration ID, an OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number.
CAT 2024 Registration - Selection of Test Cities
While filling the CAT Exam Form, candidates are to mention the preferred test location by selecting up to five options from the list of 170 cities.They must keep in mind that the allotment of the CAT Test City is subject to the availability of seats at the chosen centre. The details of exam city and centre will be mentioned on candidate's CAT Admit Card 2024.
Candidates can change the exam test city after the submission of the cat application form only when the CAT Application Form Correction window is open. Candidates must choose the exam with utmost care.
CAT Exam Registration 2024 - Things to Keep in Mind

- Google Chrome (version 59 and above)
- DO NOT fill the CAT Application Form on your mobile. Use a laptop or a desktop for filling registration form of CAT 2024.
- Cross check all the duly filled information before hitting ‘Submit/Save Key'.
- You cannot edit the cat application form after submitting it on the official website.
- Candidates will have to create a new login ID and fill the application form and make the payment of application fee again.
- Save a copy of CAT Application Fee acknowledgement slip and a copy of duly filled CAT 2024 Application Form for future reference.
- Keep the CAT Registration confirmation mail safe until the end of MBA Admission Process. Candidates are advised to take a printout of the confirmation email.
CAT 2024 Registration - Instructions for Reserved Category Candidates
Candidates belonging to a reserved category and wish to apply under Reserved category must follow the instructions mentioned.
- Candidates will have to upload the relevant certificates attended by the competent authority.
- They must read the requirements/instructions carefully.
- To check Caste/Tribe name applicable, they can visit the official website of the National Commission for Backward Classes (NCBC) - http://www.ncbc.nic.in/Home.aspx
- Submission of the reserve category form along with the cat registration form is mandatory.
- If the category is Person with Disability (PwD) then candidates can visit the official CAT website and download the Person with Disability (PwD) Certificate.
- If you plan to use a scribe to help you appear in the exam, fill out the Scribe Affidavit form on the CAT exam registration page as soon as possible, and make your own scribe arrangements.
Mistakes to Avoid During CAT 2024 Registration
Candidates must keep a check on the points mentioned below to avoid making any mistakes in the CAT 2024 Application Form:
- Candidates must fill all the details marked with asterisk (*) sign during CAT Registration. The sign indicates that the field is mandatory.
- There should be no mistake in spellings as some of the fields can not be edited after the registration of cat exam.
- Click on the option “Save & Continue” after completing each section of the cat exam form.
- Try using mouse to click (if possible) instead of using the “Tab” key.
- Since you can fill the cat form in several sessions, it is still advisable to save the information already filled after each session.
- You can make the changes in your duly filled cat application form only up to the point where the payment of cat exam fees is still pending. No edit is allowed after the cat exam fees is paid.

Although, CAT Application Correction window will be made available for students who wish to make changes in their uploaded passport sized photo, signature, and test city preferences. I am in the final year of bachelor’s degree. Am I eligible for taking CAT 2024 Exam??
Yes. Candidates in their final year of graduation can also apply for the exam as they stand eligible. At the time of admission, candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree securing at least 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized university. Candidates belonging to the reserved categories (SC/ST/PwD) must secure at least 45% marks in their graduation.
Can I fill CAT 2024 Application Form offline??
No. Candidates can not fill CAT Application Form offline. CAT 2024 Application Form can only be filled online through CAT official website - iimcat.ac.in. There is no option to fill the CAT Form offline. While filling the application form of CAT, candidates will be required to create an account on CAT Website once the registration begins. Candidates must also note that there is no other website to host the CAT Form, candidates can register themselves only by visiting the official websites. Besides, CAT Exam Fee must be submitted only only and there will be no cash accepted.
