The establishment of the UIET (University Institute of Engineering and Technology) took place in the academic year of 2002. The institute the affiliated to Punjab University, Chandigarh and is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. UIET Chandigarh Admissions

Admissions in UIET Chandigarh is based on merit and entrance exam. Students applying for BE/B. Tech program must possess a valid JEE Mains score along with having a minimum 45% in 10+2 in PCM. M. Tech admission is based upon GATE score, candidates who doesn’t possess GATE score would need to sit for PU CET. Those seeking admission in second year of B. Tech need to have PUMEET/PULEET score. 

Step 1 - The application form is accepted through both online & offline mode.

Step 2 - Candidates must register themselves on the official website of the college to apply for admission.

Step 3 - Candidates must fill in all the details such as personal, educational, and other.

Step 4 - Process the payment of application fee through online payment gateway. 

Step 5 - Keep a photocopy of the application form for future reference. 

Step 6 - Make sure to send a complete application form, otherwise it can lead to cancellation of the application. 

Step 7 - Shortlisted candidates will be contacted for counselling through mail or message.

Admission in B. E/ B/ Tech program is conducted by JAC or Joint Admission Committee on the basis of JEE Main scores and marks secured in 10+2 or equivalent examination. The admission process for M.E./M.Tech programmes are conducted by the centralized system of the Panjab University.
