NIT Patna Courses

Considering the National Institute of Technology Patna Courses, it offers various undergraduate and postgraduate programs under several specializations. The admission procedure of these programs is defined by the institute. The procedure varies for each program and the candidates seeking admission are required to have fulfilled the eligibility criteria set by the NIT Patna.

The undergraduate programs offered by the NIT are B. Tech and B. Arch and under postgraduate programs, the institute offers M. Tech, MURP, and M. Sc. And these programs are offered under several specializations. The basic requirements to take admission are explained below

• For admission to B. Tech and B. Arch, the candidates must have passed 10+2 from a recognized board securing at least 75% marks in aggregate
• For admission to M. Tech, the candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in the relevant field and should have a valid GATE score
• For MURP, the candidates are required to have a valid score in GATE examination

NIT Patna: Admission to B. Tech and B. Arch

BTech and BArch are the courses offered by the university at undergraduate level. The courses are offered to the students who are willing to pursue their career in the field of Engineering. B. Tech program is offered under several specializations.

• All the candidates seeking admission to BTech program are required to have cleared senior secondary school from a recognized board, securing at least 75% marks in aggregate (65% marks in aggregate for the candidates belonging to the reserved categories)
• Candidates seeking admission to BArch program are required to have cleared senior secondary school from a recognized board, securing at least 75% marks in aggregate (65% marks in aggregate for  the candidates belonging to the reserved categories)
• Candidates are given admission based on their performances in JEE Main examination conducted by CBSE
• Candidates who have a valid score of JEE Main and fulfill the required eligibility criteria of the institute can apply

Admission to MTech and MURP- NIT, Patna

The NIT Patna provides with MTech and MURP (Master in Urban Planning) as postgraduate programs. The programs are available under several specializations. The admission procedure of each program consists of a few simple steps to be followed.

• All the candidates seeking admission to MTech and MURP must possess a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in the relevant field they wish to pursue their career in
• They are required to have a valid score of GATE examination which is conducted annually by IITs and IISC

Admission to M. Sc-NIT, Patna

NIT Patna also offers integrated M. Sc course. The basic requirement to take admission is;

• The candidates must have cleared senior secondary school from a recognized board
• They must appear and qualify the written entrance examination conducted by the Institute

For filling the application form, the candidates must visit the official website of NIT Patna

• After the form is completely filled, the form is to be downloaded and must be sent to the concerned authority of the institute along with the recent passport-sized photographs and required documents
• The candidates must ensure that all the details filled in by them are correct, as any incorrect detail may lead to cancellation of the candidature
• The form should be sent before the last date of the submission
