Latest Update: NIFT 2024 applications have been opened from November 1 and the last date to apply is December 31.
The Admission procedure of the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) Delhi consists of a few simple steps. For admission to different programs, there are certain criteria that need to be followed while applying. Since the institute offers both Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs under several specializations, the admission procedure varies from program to program.
The NIFT Courses include B.Des and B.F.Tech at the undergraduate level and M.Des, MFM, and M.F.Tech at the postgraduate level. These programs are offered under various specializations.
The candidates seeking admission must ensure that they fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria defined by the institute. Following are the basic requirements to be able to apply for admission and how to apply for that particular course:
NIFT Delhi Cutoff 2023
The NIFT Delhi cutoff 2023 is yet to be released, it is often published after the declaration of results of the NIFT Entrance Exam. The NIFT Delhi Cutoff 2022 has been tabulated for your reference below, Students aspiring to get into the institution can have a look:

Undergraduate Programs
NIFT Delhi B. Des.
The Course of Bachelor of Design at NIFT Delhi has a Duration of 4 Years and is a Full-time course. BDes is offered in 6 Specializations. Interested students can Apply Online and admission is given based on the entrance exam. The exam scores and counseling determine the final selection.
NIFT Delhi B. Des. Fees and Eligibility
- The candidates applying for B. Des must have passed senior secondary school from a recognized board.
- For admission, the candidates are shortlisted based on their scores in the Creative Ability Test (CAT) and General Ability Test (GAT).
- The shortlisted candidates are required to appear and qualify Situation Test conducted by the institute.
- The NIFT Delhi fees for B.Des 2022 are around INR 12.78 LPA.
NIFT Delhi B. F.Tech.
- The NIFT Delhi B.F. Tech or Bachelor of Fashion Technology curriculum at the National Institute of Fashion Technology in New Delhi lasts for 4 years. There is a full-time option for the course. There are around 30 students who are enrolled in the program.
- It is a full-time course and is offered in 1 specialization i.e Apparel Production. The B.FTech course can be applied in online mode and admission criteria are marks obtained in the entrance examination.
NIFT Delhi B. F.Tech. Fees and Eligibility
- The candidates applying for B. F. Tech must have passed senior secondary school with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as main subjects from a recognized university.
- The admission procedure is based on the candidates’ performance in the General Ability Test (GAT).
- The NIFT Delhi fees for B.FTech is around INR 12.78 LPA for 4 years.

Postgraduate Programs
NIFT Delhi M. Des
National Institute of Fashion Technology Delhi offers a Master of Design program with a duration of 2 years. Students having a Graduation degree in relevant disciplines can apply for admission to the NIFT Delhi M.Des course. The Application Mode for the course is Online. Students seeking NIFT Delhi admission can get into the M.Des course by going through the entrance exam and getting adequate scores in the exam.
NIFT Delhi M. Des Fees and Eligibility
- Candidates seeking admission to M. Des must possess a Bachelor’s degree in any field from a recognized university.
- For admission, the candidates are shortlisted based on their scores in CAT and GAT examinations along with their performance in Group Discussions and Personal Interview rounds conducted by the institute.
NIFT Delhi M. F. Tech
The MFTech course of 2 years of duration in National Institute of Fashion Technology offers a Master of Fashion Technology. It is a full-time course and students can apply for it online, admission is given based on entrance exams. The eligibility criteria for the MFTech course is a Bachelor’s degree holder in a relevant subject.
NIFT Delhi M. F. Tech Fees and Eligibility
- The candidates applying for M. F.Tech, the candidates must possess a B. F. Tech or B. E/B. Tech degree in any specialization from a recognized university.
- For admission, the candidates are shortlisted based on their score in the GAT examination along with their performance in Group Discussions and Personal Interview rounds conducted by the institute.
- The NIFT Delhi Fees for MFTech is around 6.16 LPA.
NIFT Delhi M. F. M
The students seeking admission to the National Institute of Fashion Technology MFM course can do so by appearing in entrance exams and securing adequate rank. The duration of the course is 2 years. It is a Full-time course for which students can apply online, and admission is given based on scores obtained in the entrance examination.
NIFT Delhi M.F.M Fees and Eligibility
- While applying for M. F. M, the candidates must ensure that they hold a Bachelor’s degree in any field from a recognized university.
- For admission, the candidates are shortlisted based on their score in the GAT examination along with their performance in Personal Interviews and Group Discussion rounds conducted by the institute.
- The candidates who hold undergraduate Diplomas from NIFT or NID (National Institute of Design) are also eligible to apply for the M. F. M program.
- The NIFT Delhi Fees for MFM is around INR 6.16 LPA.

NIFT Delhi Continuing Education (CE) Admission 2023
NIFT Delhi offers 23 short-term continuing education (CE) programmes with a three- to one-year course duration. Working professionals who wish to polish and update their abilities further might enrol in these part-time courses. National Institute of Fashion Technology, Delhi- Application Procedure
- Candidates seeking admission must fill the application form by visiting the official website of the institute.
- Candidates must ensure that they fill all the required details correctly. Any incorrect detail may lead to the cancellation of the candidature.
- While filling the application form, the payment of application fee must be processed via an online or offline mode of payment.
- Online payment mode includes payment via net banking, credit card or debit card. And offline payment can be made through bank drafts.
- Candidates who have made the payment through offline mode are advised to send the copy of completely filled application form along with the demand draft to Project Manager- CMS, All India Management Association, Management House, 14, Institutional Area, Lodhi Road, New Delhi 110003
