Narula Institute of Technology, Kolkata Admission
Narula Institute of Technology is one among the seven colleges under the JIS Group, a Sikh minority group. Narula Institute of Technology Courses i.e. B.Tech., M.Tech., MBA and MCA courses and admissions are provided on the basis of candidate’s performance in the qualifying examination. Narula Institute accepts Common Entrance Examination AMPAI-WB for admission in B.Tech. and B. Pharm degree programmes. Common Entrance Examination AMPAI-WB is an entrance examination conducted by the Minority Professional Academic Institutes (AMPAI) in the state of West Bengal.

Admission in B.Tech. at Narula Institute of Technology:
- The institute offers B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering.
- The candidate seeking admission in B.Tech. at Narula Institute of Technology must have passed class XII with a minimum aggregate of 45 percent marks from a recognized board.
- A relaxation of 5 percent is provided to the candidates of Reserved Category.
- The candidate must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as mandatory subjects in class XII.
- The candidate must have qualified JEE Main or WBJEE examination.
- For admission of candidates from minority quota, the institute accepts AMPAI-WB examination conducted by AMPAI.
- For admission in B.Tech. lateral entry, the candidate must have qualified JELET examination.
Admission in M.Tech. and MCA at Narula Institute of Technology:
- The institute offers M.Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering (Microelectronics & VLSI), Electrical Engineering-Power Systems, and Civil Engineering-Structural Engineering.
- The candidate seeking admission in M.Tech. must have passed B.Tech. in the respective discipline from a recognized university.
- For admission in M.Tech., the candidate must have qualified either PGET or GATE examination.
- For admission in MCA programmes, counseling is conducted by the Central Selection Committee of Narula Institute of Technology.

Placement: Many students after getting their degree got placements in many companies. I would rather say the quality of placements is average. 60-65% students were placed. The average salary was offered 20-25k/month. As I’m studying now, so I don’t know whether the process is easy or not.

Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and active with the students. I’m studying bachelor degree in civil engineering. According to my own experience, the teachers are very good in teaching. You can easily communicate with them if you have any doubt in your studies.

Reason why I chose this college
Faculty: I choose Civil Engineering in this college because all types of facilities required are available in this college. All faculties members are very supportive and kind in nature towards students. Their teaching method is also understandable to students. They provide extra classes online as well as offline and also provide great opportunities to students. The faculty to students ratio in this college is 1:25. The term or semester exams are held in a gap of every six months. The semester exams are not quite easy to pass for everyone. But regular study and effort make to score better in semesters

Faculty: The college is excellent with a wonderful academic environment. Other than academics, the college will entertain different co-curricular activities of the students such as sports, cultural events, national social services etc. A great infrastructural facilities are provided to the students and the staff members also.
