Namchi Government College, Sikkim, is a co-ed educational institution established on 18th August, 1995. It is presently located at Kamrang, about 4 kms away from Namchi (South district headquarter). The institute is accredited by NAAC with grade “B” and affiliated with Sikkim University. The college offers 19 Undergraduate courses in the field of Science, Commerce and humanities including professional courses like Journalism and Mass communication and 3 Post-graduate courses in the subjects Commerce, Education and Geography. Approximately, 3000 students are enrolled in the undergraduate courses and about 120 students (20 students in each semester) are enrolled in the postgraduate courses. The institution provides many facilities such as spacious classrooms, library, laboratories, offices and a multi-purpose auditorium.
