Muthayammal Engineering College is affiliated to Anna University and offers Under Graduate, Post Graduate and Research Programmes in the field of Engineering, Business Administration and Computer Applications i.e. B.E./B.Tech., M.E., MBA, MCA and Ph.D.

- Muthayammal Engineering College conducts its application process in both the modes i.e. online as well as offline.
- Candidates seeking admission in B.E./ B.Tech. must have passed class XII from a recognized board with a minimum of 50 percent aggregate marks.
- Candidates who apply for Under Graduate engineering courses are selected through TNEA counselling
- Candidates seeking admission in M.Tech., MBA and MCA must have completed a graduate degree in relevant subject from a recognized university and selection will be done on the basis of marks obtained by the candidate in TANCET examination.
- For Research programmes, the candidate must have passed Master's degree with a minimum of 55 percent aggregate from a recognized university or possess CGPA of 5.5 on a 10-point scale.

Admissions in BE/B.Tech:
- Candidates seeking admission in Under Graduate engineering courses must possess a minimum of 50 percent aggregate marks in class XII.
- Relaxation of 5 percent is provided to the candidates of the Reserved Category.
- The candidate must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/ Vocational subjects in class XII.
- The candidate must have qualified TNEA examination.
- The candidate must be 17-years of age as on or before December 31 of the academic year.
Admission in ME, MBA and MCA courses:
- The candidate must have completed a graduate degree in relevant subject from a recognized university.
- The candidate must have qualified TANCET examination.
- The candidate seeking admission in MCA must have studied Mathematics as a mandatory subject in graduation.
