Manipal Institue of Technology Admission 2024: Eligibility

Manipal Institute of Technology Admission eligibility has certain criteria needed to qualify to get admission in this institute. MIT Manipal’s undergraduate and postgraduate courses allow candidates to choose their favorite stream. However, these courses require certain eligibility to be qualified by the candidate such as an entrance exam, and proper documentation regarding 10+2/graduation certificates.

MIT Manipal course admission entrance exam which is known as MET is needed to qualify the candidates, in case they haven’t already appeared in any state/central exams. To get admission to a PG course such as M.Tech, candidates must clear the GATE/MET exam.

MIT Manipal Eligibility: Undergraduate Courses

B.Tech

• Completion of the 10+2 exam or a comparable test from a recognized board.
• A minimum combined score in math, physics, and chemistry of 60%.
• Score that is valid on a recognized engineering admission exam, such as the MET or JEE Main.
• As of August 1st of the entrance year, applicants must be at least 17 years old.

B.Tech (Lateral Entry)

• Obtaining a three-year diploma from a reputable board or institution in a relevant engineering or technology area.
• A minimum of 45% overall in the diploma program, or the equivalent CGPA.
• A diploma in engineering that is appropriate for the chosen B.Tech lateral entry program should be obtained.
• A passing score on pertinent entrance examinations like the MET-LET may be required for some lateral entry admissions.
• Admission to the B.Tech program normally occurs in the second year, signifying advanced standing because of the diploma qualification.
• Transcripts from all previous academic work, admission exam results (if applicable), identification documentation, and passport-sized photos are required.

MIT Manipal Eligibility: Postgraduate Courses

M.Tech

• Completion of an appropriate B.Tech. or a comparable degree from a recognized university.
• The B.Tech program’s minimum necessary average score is required.
• The chosen M.Tech program should be related to the field of study for the B.Tech degree.
• A certain amount of relevant job experience may be necessary for some lateral entry M.Tech programs.
• Depending on the program, applicants might need to have a current GATE score or another score from an accepted entry exam.
• Submission of necessary documentation, including identity documentation, transcripts of relevant academic work, and admission exam results (if necessary).

M.C.A.

• Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in any field from an accredited institution.
• A minimal overall grade in the qualifying bachelor’s degree, typically about 50% or as the university specifies.
• Some MCA programs demand that applicants have taken mathematics as a subject during their undergraduate studies.
• For MCA applicants, a passing score in a recognized admission exam, such as the NIMCET or an institute-specific entrance exam, may be required.
