About IHM Pusa:
It was founded in 1962 in the central area of Delhi, the campus is surrounded by lush green gardens and attracts thousands of students every year due to the name and fame the institution has garnered in years in the hospitality and tourism sector. IHM Pusa Courses are offered courses at the graduate and post-graduate levels. The college comes under the supervision of the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. Following the establishment of the Dadar Catering College in Bombay in 1962, this institute is the second government establishment under the Ministry of Food (Now IHM Mumbai). It began in the abandoned barracks behind the current employment exchange building in IHM Pusa, New Delhi, by the Government of India, guided by Sir Belfield Smith.
Students can apply to various IHM Pusa Courses given various chef training programs of national and international standards. The vision of the college is to offer students excellent learning opportunities and make them ready for the hospitality sector. Some of the notable alumni of IHM Pusa are Sanjeev Kapoor, Manjeet Gill and Vivek Singh. The Institute is exclusively certified to HACCP. The campus, which is located in a lush, verdant neighborhood of Pusa, was founded in 1962 and is now an imposing structure. The Ministry of Tourism in India has consistently recognized the institution as t3he top hotel management institute in the nation six times in a row. Over the years, the institute has also received many awards of this caliber. The college has adhered to the TRAS principle which is to think responsibly and act sustainably.
Fun fact: Three IHMCTANs (Ahmedabad, Bhopal, and Jaipur) began offering students the choice to select vegetarian cuisine exclusively in 2016. The National Council for Hotel Management (NCHM) declared in 2018 that starting with the 2018–19 academic year, all IHMs will offer a vegetarian option.

IHM Delhi Course Admissions 2024
Candidates seeking admission to any of the Institute’s courses must complete an online application form, which is available on the Institute’s official website. The cost of the application form is Rs. 400 for SC/ST categories and Rs. 800 for Gen./OBC categories. They must carefully fill out every field that is required. Final acceptance into any course will be determined by performance on the qualifying exam. The cumulative percentage earned over all three years of graduation will be taken into account for admission to the postgraduate program.

- Candidates with Physical Disabilities: For candidates with physical disabilities (PH), including leprosy cures, as defined by the Indian government. Such candidates ought to be capable of pursuing the course, barring the extent of the disability that is allowable for them.
- Candidates who are orthopedically disabled and fit into one of the following categories and have a locomotor disability or cerebral palsy with a locomotion impairment of at least 40% but no more than 75% are eligible to apply.
- Candidates who are visually impaired and who suffer from one or more of the following conditions are the only ones who may apply. (i) In the better eye with corrective lenses, visual acuity cannot be greater than 6/60 or 20/200 (swollen). (ii) Field of view restriction at an angle of 20 or worse.
- Candidates with hearing impairments: Only individuals with disabilities ranging from 40% to 75% are eligible. The aforementioned reservations do not apply to people who are mentally impaired. Candidates who are physically disabled must submit a copy of their Physically Handicapped Certificate from the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of the hospital, which may be managed by the central government, a state government, or a municipal corporation. such potentials.
IHM Pusa Admission: How to apply
Students seeking admission to IHM Pusa can do so by going to the official website and applying for the desired courses by filling out application fees. There are a few things to note before applying for admission into IHM Delhi:
- Applicants must download and complete the application form before sending it along with a check made out to "Principal, Institute of Hotel Management, Catering & Nutrition, Pusa, New Delhi." These papers should be forwarded by rapid post to "Principal, Institute of Hotel Management, Catering & Nutrition, Library Avenue, Pusa, New Delhi - 110012" together with self-attested photocopies of your transcripts, age verification documents, category certificates, and any other certifications.
- A list posted on the institute’s website or notice board will provide information about the final selection of each candidate. Candidates who are chosen must pay the fee and complete all requirements according to the timeline shown on the merit list; otherwise, their candidature is annulled, and admission will be granted to the next candidate on the following merit list.

IHM Pusa Cutoff 2024
Admission to these courses is done based on the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE), which is conducted by the National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology (NCHMCT).
