Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISER), Kolkata Admission
IISER, Kolkata was set up in the year 2006. It offers BS-MS dual degree program for the span of five years, at UG level and M.S by Research Physical Science at PG level. IISER, Kolkata additionally offers integrated Ph.D., Regular Ph.D., and Post-Doctoral Research program at Doctorate level.

- Candidates who have passed 10+2 from a perceived board are qualified to apply for BS-MS (Dual Degree) program offered by IISER, Kolkata.
- IBS-MS admission is based on JEE Advanced score, State and Central Board (SCB) channel or KVPY scheme.
- Admission to MS by Research program is given to the individuals with B.Tech degree in the significant order.
- Admission to MS by research program is based on applicants' performance and score in an interview.
- For the Integrated Ph.D. program, the applicants with BE/B.Tech/B.Sc or MBBS degree with no less than 60% imprints are qualified for confirmation.
- Amid the admission to Integrated Ph.D. program, the competitors with a substantial score of any national common aptitude tests viz. JAM/ JGEEBILS or JEST are considered.
- Candidates with Master's Degree from a perceived college are viewed as qualified for admission to the Ph.D. program.
- Admission to the Ph.D. program is given on the basis of performance in PG course and interview.
- Ph.D. students are eligible for Post Doc program.
- Applicants can apply online independently for each course through the Institute's site. Mode of payment is online. The application charge is non-refundable.
IISER, Kolkata Application Process 2018
The application frame can be submitted online through the Institute's authentic site. Following steps need to be followed:
- Visit the official site of IISER, Kolkata, and tap on "Application Portal" option.
- Register yourself by filling personal and professional details.
- Sign in with your Id and password.
- Complete the application form.
- Upload the documents.
- Pay the application fee online.
- Submit the form.
Application Fee:
- INR 2000: General and OBC
- INR 1000: SC/ST/PH.
Documents Required:
- Class 12th, Graduation, PG marks sheet (Attested copies).
- Birth Certificate and Photo ID proof.
- Scorecard of National aptitude test (whenever required)
- For IP Program, Statement of Purpose declaring research interest and potential Supervisor.
