Latest Updates at IIM Lucknow Admissions:
- The Last day of registration for the CAT exam will be September 13, 2024.
- The CAT exam will be scheduled for November 2024.
- Admission to IIM Lucknow in 2024 will largely depend on entrance exams. For admission to its PGDM programs, the institute accepts scores from national entrance tests including the CAT, XAT, GMAT, etc.

IIM Lucknow Admission Stages 2024/2025
MBA Admission Stages
Following are the stages in which the admission process will be carried out for the MBA program at IIM Lucknow:
Admission Stage | Stage Description |
Stage 1: CAT Registration | Candidates need to register for CAT 2024 and will also have to apply to the IIM Lucknow PGP program in the application form. |
Stage 2: CAT 2024 | Candidates will have to take the CAT exam and score a percentile above the set cut-off decided by IIM Lucknow. |
Stage 3: Shortlisting for WAT-PI | Once the results of the CAT exam are released the candidates will get a call letter for WAT-PI, based on their CAT scores, academic and scholastic achievement as well as any relevant work experience. |
Stage 4: WAT-PI Round | The shortlisted candidates will have to appear for the WAT-PI round the centers for the conduction of this round will be informed to the students so they can plan their travel and decide their centers accordingly. |
Stage 5: Final Selection | Candidates will be selected for their admission into IIM Lucknow based on their performances in the previous stages mentioned below. These candidates will be informed via email or the online portal for applicants. |
IIM Lucknow PGPWE/ IPMX Admission Stages
Following are the stages in which the admission process will be carried out for the PGPWE/IPMX program at IIM Lucknow:
Admission Stage | Stage Description |
Stage 1: Application Form (Online) | Interested candidates will have to fill out the application form for the admission process through IIM Lucknow's official website. |
Stage 2: Entrance Exam | Those candidates who have not appeared for exams like CAT/ GMAT/ GRE have an option of appearing for the PGPWE Entrance Exam conducted by IIM Lucknow. |
Stage 3: Shortlisting for WAT-PI | Candidates who pass the entrance exam or have a score/percentile above the set cut-off will then be shortlisted for the Written Ability Test and Personal Interview. |
Stage 4: WAT-PI Round | The shortlisted candidates will have to appear for a Written Ability Test and a Personal Interview. The performance in both the WAT and PI plays an important role in clearing the admission process. |
Stage 5: Final Selection | Candidates will finally be selected for the program based on their performance in the previous stages academic/scholastic performance and any relevant work experience. |

Following are the stages in which the admission process will be carried out for the FPM/EFPM program at IIM Lucknow:

Stage 1: Application Form | Interested candidates will have to fill out the application form for the admission process through IIM Lucknow's official website. |
Stage 2: PGPWE Entrance Exam (Only for EFPM) | Those candidates who have not appeared for exams like CAT/ GMAT/ GRE have an option of appearing for the PGPWE Entrance Exam conducted by IIM Lucknow. |
Stage 3: Shortlisting of Candidates | Shortlisted candidates will be notified about the interview based on their performance and scores in the entrance exam or exams like CAT/ GMAT/ GRE. |
Stage 4: Final Selection | Candidates will finally be selected for the program based on their performance in the previous stages and academic/scholastic performance and any relevant work experience. |
