- IIM Ahmedabad's PGP 2025-27 batch admission/selection process would be based on CAT 2024. The announcement for the CAT 2024 exam has been issued. The deadline to apply for the CAT exam is September 13, 2024. The admission card will be available on November 5, 2024, and the exam will be on November 24, 2024. Students can register at @iimcat.ac.in. The results are scheduled to be available in January of next year.
- IIM Ahmedabad has announced the selection criteria for the PGP 2025-27 batch. In 2024, IIM Ahmedabad has assigned 65% weight to CAT 2023 scores while shortlisting candidates for the AWT-PI round. At different stages, shortlisting is done through the Application Rating Score which is obtained via the 10th, 12th, graduation score, and work experience as of 31st July 2024.

IIM Ahmedabad Admission 2024: IIM Ahmedabad has announced its selection criteria for admission to the PGP programs for the 2025-2027 batch, becoming the first IIM to do so. The minimum CAT overall percentile remains 80%, consistent with the previous year. However, IIM Ahmedabad has increased the weightage assigned to CAT 2023 scores to 65% when shortlisting candidates for the AWT-PI round. The shortlisting process involves an Application Rating Score, which considers the applicant's performance in the 10th and 12th grades, graduation, and work experience as of July 31, 2024.
The highlights of IIM Ahmedabad's admission policy for the PGP batch of 2025-2027 based on CAT 2024 are as follows: Minimum Eligibility Criteria
- The minimum CAT cutoff for the General Category is set at 80 percentile, with a minimum of 70 in each section.
- The composite score for interview shortlisting will consist of 65% from CAT 2024 and 35% from the Application Rating Score.
- The Application Rating includes marks for 10th, 12th, and graduation scores, varying by academic stream, category, and work experience.
- Work experience is calculated using the formula: (Total Months−11)×0.20(Total Months−11)×0.20.
- The weightage for different metrics in the final shortlisting process will be announced later.
The students who are applying for the IIM Ahmedabad Admissions need to apply for the CAT Exam. CAT Exam is the exam that is required to be passed if you wish to get into any MBA Colleges barring a few. Then candidates are required to appear for the AWT PI where the candidates are shortlisted based on the CAT percentile, academic performance, and work experience. Various sectors have participated in the placement - Accenture (26 offers) and Boston Consulting Group (23 offers) were the top recruiters. Consulting (TCS with 17 offers), Investment Banking (Goldman Sachs with 9 offers), and General Management (Adani with 10 offers) saw significant growth.
There is an increase of 13% in conglomerate jobs as compared to the previous year. There were different roles available for the students for placement. Placement is conducted in two stages. Highly Competitive Placements
While IIM Ahmedabad offers a top-tier education, the competitive environment can be intense and stressful for some students. Additionally, the cost of attendance may pose a financial challenge for certain individuals.

Best college To Study along with Personal development
Placement: Placements were excellent. IIM A has cluster system (with companies of same field arriving on same day), almost 40% of batch I guess had offers by the end of cluster 1 (I. e. Consulting & Finance firms), including PPOs and lateral offers. 100% of students got placed. The highest, the lowest and Average can’t be calculated since a number of companies don’t give salary details in the Job Description Forms. But the highest for domestic would definitely be more than or equal to 50 LPA. Around 100+ firms participated across Consulting, Finance, Marketing, General Management, Technology, and BFSI profiles. Consulting took maximum students, my guess would be ~ 100. 100% of students got internships as it is a mandatory requirement. Stipend details are not shared by companies, but the highest domestic will ~ 3.5 lacs. Yes, there is a placement cell. It is responsible for ensuring internships and placements for all interested students.
Faculty: Faculty is probably the best aspect of IIM A. They are well qualified and extremely knowledgeable. The fields of faculty members varies across Marketing, Finance, Public Policy, Economics, Information Systems. The teaching is completely case based and focuses on application of learned concepts. The scope of industry exposure is through internships or if someone wants to try their hands on a live project, there is a student body dedicated to pitching projects to be taken up by groups of students. Also, the incubation centre of IIM A is amongst the best in the country, if someone is interested in entrepreneurship.
College: Wi-Fi is available all across campus. No limit on usage. All classrooms are equipped with projectors and are fully Air Conditioned. Library is currently under renovation, and will most likely be opened by mid of 2018. The library has all genres of books, with leasing period variable for different class of students. For PGP it is 14 days. The online portal of library offers access of databases and journal websites to almost all the major journals and important databases. There is a small dispensary on campus, but there is no full-functioning hospital.I finanlised after qualifying Cat examination.

Topmost mba college
Placement: Placements are no doubt best here. The average salary is around 15-16 LPA and if totally depends on you what you are capable of.
Faculty: Excellent faculties, they do extensive research, they are top class teachers.
College: Well it is by far the best management college in India, just score best percentile, be presentable in interview and group discussion and you are thru its admissions. Is an excellent college as a whole.

One-on-one interactions with teachers can be difficult
While the majority of faculty members are exceptional, there may be occasional variations in teaching styles and effectiveness. Additionally, access to some professors for one-on-one guidance can be limited due to their busy schedules
