The Diamond Harbour Women's University in 2013 in Diamond Harbour, West Bengal to provide education in the fields of Arts, Science, and Commerce. It provides courses such as M.Sc, MA, M.Com, M.Phil, and PhD in various subjects. The college has 13 departments and 57 qualified faculty members.

Diamond Harbour University started its first session in July 2024. It has 13 departments and offers admission to various courses in the fields of science, arts, and commerce.

• Candidates can apply to the M.Sc, MA, and M.Com which are the 2-year postgraduate programs offered by this university through their official university website.
• Admissions to the PG courses in the university are based on the merit list and a graduation degree in the relevant subject with a minimum of 45% aggregate.
• To gain admission to the M.Phil program, candidates must clear the university written exam as well as the interview.
• To gain admission to the M.Phil program, candidates must clear the RET exam as well as the interview.
• After the applications are completed, the university releases the course-wise merit list for final admissions.

Important Points:

• A candidate having an undergraduate degree in Education Honours or B.Ed, will be eligible to apply for an MA in Education.
• A candidate having an undergraduate degree in Mathematics Honours, Physics Honours, BCA Honours, or CS Honours will be eligible to apply for admission.
• Students can also gain admission through sports quota. State-level and national-level sports participants will get a 5% relaxation in the total marks.
• Candidates applying to both M.Phil and PhD, should fill out different forms for applications.
• For admission to PhD, candidates who have appeared and qualified in any of the NET, SLET, SET, or GATE exams, are not required to appear for the RET exam and can directly appear in the interview.
• For admission to PhD, candidates who have appeared and qualified in any of the NET, SLET, SET, or GATE exams, and also qualified for M.Phil, should appear in the interview with a research proposal of 1000 words.
• For admission to M.Phil, candidates who have qualified in any of the NET, SLET, or SET exams, are not required to appear for the written exam.
• The minimum mark for appearing in the interview round is 25 for the general category and a 5% relaxation for the reserved category candidates.

To apply for admission, follow the application process mentioned below:

MA, M.Sc, and M.Com application process:

• Visit the college website and register online.
• Click on the application form link, and fill in the required details.
• Next, pay the fees via online mode or offline mode (challan).
• The registration fee for MA, M.Sc., and M.Com is INR 300.
• The registration fee for M.Phil and PhD is INR 500.

M.Phil and PhD application process:

• Visit the college website and download the application form.
• Now fill out the form and submit it along with self-attested documents and a demand draft of 500 rupees.
• Now send the application form, the demand draft, and the required documents to the Office of the Registrar, Diamond Harbour Women's University. 

The documents required for application are:

• Class 10 passing certificate.
• Class 12 passing certificate.
• Undergraduate passing certificate.
• Passport size photograph.
• Identity proof in the form of Aadhar, PAN card, Voter's ID, etc.
• Migration certificate.
