The college was established in year 1947 by Rai Badri Prasad Ji under the society of Satya Dharma Samaj. It's the biggest school under Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh State University, Aligarh, and has been given a B++ rating by NAAC. It's a leading school, with really skilled teachers teaching in various subjects. DS College has a rich history of success in both academics and other areas. Many famous people, including Chief Ministers, Governors, Ambassadors, Cabinet Ministers, Members of Parliament, State Assembly members, Judges, International Poets, Lawyers, Social Workers, Scientists, Big Business People, and Education Experts, have all been students here.
The college has a highly qualified faculty with its members coming from IITs, the CSIR institute, and many central universities with superb teaching skills and adequate experience in research work. The academic staff includes a total of 181 regular teachers, 50 instructors in self-financed courses, and 150 non-teaching staff. This is a co-educational college, and it greatly emphasizes discipline, although dress codes are different for boys and girls.
