Central Law College was established in 1984. It is a private college. In 1993, it received permanent affiliation from the University of Madras. The affiliation of Central Law College shifted to the Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University in Chennai under the State Act of 1997. The college is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
Central Law College offers law courses at different levels. The UG Courses include a BA LLB integrated program of 5 years and an LLB Degree-based course of 3 years.
