WBSCVT ITI: Comprehensive Overview

The West Bengal State Council for Vocational Training (WBSCVT) oversees the ITI admissions process. This is associated with the NCVT's Craftsman Training Scheme (CTS). Eligible individuals can enroll in a variety of trade courses offered by several government and commercial ITIs spread around the state. The courses are organized into two groups: M Group and E Group. Candidates will be shortlisted based on their 8th/10th grade results.

WBSCVT ITI: Application Form

Candidates must carefully read the directions below before filling out the application form for West Bengal ITI 2024.

• The application form for West Bengal ITI 2024 will be available online exclusively.
• Filling out the registration form will begin in the first week of March 2024.
• Before applying for any trade group (M Group or E Group), candidates must first check their eligibility.
• Fill out the application form with personal information, academic qualifications, a contact number, category, and so on.
• Upload a current scanned copy of a colour passport-size photograph and signature in the correct format.
• Students are required to submit the West Bengal ITI 2024 application form by the fourth week of May 2024.
• Candidates must submit their information correctly and attentively, as there will be no corrections offered by the authority later.
• There is no need to provide a printed copy of the completed application form to the authority.
• Candidates must retain a hard copy of the completed application form for future reference.

WBSCVT ITI: Application Fee

• The application cost for West Bengal ITI shall be paid online only.
• Candidates must pay the application fee through payment methods such as net banking, credit card, debit card, e-wallet, and UPI.
• Payment via other means will not be accepted.
• The fee paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.

WBSCVT ITI: Eligibility Criteria

Nationality: To apply, the candidate must be a citizen of India.

Age Limit: Candidates must be at least 14 years old as of August 1, 2024. There will be no maximum age limit.

Education Requirements: Candidates applying for the E group must have completed grade 8 and the M group must have completed grade 10 from a recognised board.

Appearing: Candidates appearing in the eighth or tenth grades will also be eligible.

Only applicants who satisfy the requirements set forth by WBSCVT may be admitted to the ITI trades that are offered by different universities around the state. The colleges are listed here, a few of them.

How to Apply for WBSCVT ITI 2024?

Here's a step-by-step guide to applying for the WBSCVT ITI 2024:

• Visit the West Bengal ITI website.
• First, candidates must register on the site by clicking the "Register" button.
• Enter all of the basic registration information, such as your phone number, email address, and date of birth.
• Enter valid information to get an OTP for verification.
• Click the "Login" button and enter your user ID and password.
• Based on your qualifications, choose either the M Group or the E Group.
• Proceed to fill out the form, including personal information, academic qualifications, and category.
• Upload a recent scanned coloured photograph, signatures, and any other relevant documents in the specified size.
• Check the application form before clicking the "Submit" button.
• Now click the "Pay" button.
• Payment for the registration cost will be made through payment methods such as net banking, credit card, debit card, e-wallet, and UPI.
• Once all of the details have been verified, submit the application form.
• Finally, print the filled-out application form and fee receipt for future reference.

WBSCVT ITI: Required Documents

The documents necessary for admission to ITI group M or E in various West Bengal institutions are listed below.

• Self-attested photocopy of the Madhyamik or equivalent examination admit card (for "M Group" trades).
• Self-attested photocopy of Madhyamik or comparable examination/Class VIII mark sheet (whichever applies).
• A self-attested photocopy of the Madhyamik or equivalent examination certificate/Class VIII (where applicable).
• Self-attested photocopy of the SC/ST/OBC/PH certificate (where applicable).
• Two current colour passport-sized pictures (to be kept by the ITI).
• Self-attested photocopy of the Aadhaar card.
• Self-attested copy of vocational/PBSSD pass certificate (if applicable).

WBSCVT ITI: Counselling

The West Bengal ITI 2024 application details will be given to candidates via the website. Candidates will be able to enter into the web portal with their user ID and date of birth and select their preferred admission procedure.

• Candidates must choose courses in order of preference. The authority will allocate seats based on the selections given by the candidates. After the choice filling process is completed, the candidates' seats will be assigned based on their selections and ranking.
• Candidates are recommended to print the confirmation slip from the website following the seat allotment procedure. Candidates will be needed to bring some of the necessary documents for verification throughout the counseling process. The following documents are required for the verification phases of the counseling procedure.

WBSCVT ITI: Reporting Process 

Candidates must be ready to present the necessary documents rrquired for the process of verification. These documents are of consequence when it comes to verification process. Candidates are suggested to bring in all the documents required as suggested by the authorities. After the allotment of seats, the candidate is required to report to the institute. Provisional seat allotment letter, original and xerox copies of academic certificates are required in the process. If candidates report within the dates and timelines, seats will be alloted. 

WBSCVT ITI: Documents Required for the Verification Process

• Class 8th mark sheet certificate
• Class 10th mark sheet and certificate.
• Category certificate (if applicable)
• Caste certificate (if needed)
• Vocational pass certificate (if applicable)
• Required documents include a migration certificate and a Class 10 admit card as proof of age.
• Kanyashree enrolled a certificate.
• Required documents include seat allotment letter, Aadhar card, and several passport-sized pictures.

WBSCVT ITI: Merit List

• The authority will publish the West Bengal ITI 2024 merit list in the third week of June 2024. 
• The authority will make it available online on their website. 
• The merit list for M Group trades will be generated based on the candidates' performance in the Madhyamik or comparable examination. 
• Candidates whose names appear on the merit list will be eligible for the counseling round, choice selection, and seat allocation.

WBSCVT ITI: Choice Filling Process 

Choices must be filled by the eligible candidates through the official website. In accordance with the dates decided by the WBSCVT, the candidates should log in using their mobile number and date of birth. Additionally, candidates are required to change the password after the login process. They should log in again to fill in the choices. The candidates have the freedom to choose any number of colleges and trades as choices.  For the WBSCVT online admission,  candidates will have to submit or lock the choices. A message via SMS will be sent to the candidates.
