Familiarity with the exam syllabus will allow candidates to prepare an effective study plan and strategy.

Understand the Exam Pattern

Candidates must also be well aware of the WBJEE Exam Pattern which includes the kind of questions being asked, marks distributed and allotted to each topic, mode of examination, and more. Prepare a Personalized Study Schedule

Every candidate has a different learning and grasping capacity, hence the preparation strategy for each candidate may be different. Candidates must analyze their strengths and weaknesses and understand their weak topics. Once this analysis is done, candidates can prepare their personalized strategy. This strategy will help them strengthen their basics and they will be able to prepare better. As a result, it is advised that the most difficult and high-scoring topics/chapters must be covered first. Candidates can refer to the JEE Main 25-Day Preparation Plan for a reference schedule.

Solve Question Papers and Mock Tests

Candidates should solve as many question papers and mock tests as possible. These papers will help the candidates get a first-hand experience of the exam like what kind of questions are asked in the exam, and the difficulty level of the questions. This will also help them manage their time effectively. Candidates must take this seriously and should treat these mock tests and the previous year's papers as the actual exam. Along with this, candidates will also be able to increase their speed in the actual exam and will also improve their problem-solving abilities to tackle difficult questions.

Regular Revision

Solving mock tests and question papers is just not enough. Candidates must revise the topics regularly as they might forget some important information and it is natural for humans to forget topics that were studied sometime back. Hence, the candidates should keep on revising regularly so that they can strengthen and memorize the concepts well.

Prepare Short Notes on Important Topics

Candidates are advised to prepare short notes or flashcards of important topics and relevant facts and formulae so that it becomes easier to revise and the candidates can revise important topics at a glance.

Maintain Good Diet

While studying is important, it is also extremely important that candidates maintain good health and diet. Candidates should eat well, sleep well, and follow good practices. Candidates should not study for hours at a stretch and should take breaks in between so that they can prepare with a fresh mind every time.
