An exam paper is referred to as an "Arrear Paper" if a student fails to get the required passing score of 40% on it. A late paper could be the result of someone skipping the test or not scoring enough points to pass. The most arrears that may be present in a semester are two, one in a Core paper and one in a GE/ AECC/ SEC/ DSE paper. Before being promoted to the sixth semester, students must complete all outstanding assignments from the first through fifth semesters.
Vidyasagar University offers a supplementary exam for the 3rd year students who have arrears only for the 6th semester. However, reappearing students cannot apply for a special supplementary exam. Students must note that the Vidyasagar University special supplementary exam is only applicable to theory papers and not to practical papers.
