UPTET or the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test is an entrance examination that is conducted once a year at the state level in Uttar Pradesh. This exam helps students become eligible for Teacher's positions at the Primary and Upper Primary levels in the schools of Uttar Pradesh. Primary school is from classes 1 to 5 and Upper Primary school is from classes 6 to 8.
UPTET exam is conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Exam Regulatory Authority on behalf of the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB). The exam is usually conducted in two shifts for Paper 1 and Paper 2. The UPTET Paper 1 is conducted for candidates who wish to become primary class teachers while UPTET Paper 2 is conducted for candidates who wish to become Upper Primary Teachers.
Besides, those who wish to become teachers of classes 1 to 8 are required to appear in both UPTET Paper 1 and UPTET Paper 2.

The UPTET Exam Date is generally released in an official notification. The UPTET Notification consists of dates related to the other events of the exam such as registration, admit card release, exam date, answer key, result, etc.

UPTET Syllabus 2024 has been prescribed by the examination regulatory authority on behalf of the UPBEB. The syllabus includes information for both Paper 1 and Paper 2.
