TNEA 2024 Latest Updates:  The official notification for TNEA 2024 exam will be released on the official website soon. Candidates interested in appearing for the exam should fill out the TNEA Application form before the deadline. The conducting body department of Technical Education (DoTE) will release all the information necessary to fill out the application form on its official website @tneaonline.org.

What is the TNEA Exam?

Anna University will host the TNEA 2024 (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions) examination. Candidates can apply through this for admission to a variety of UG engineering programs, including B.E./B. Tech degree programs. Every year, a state-level admissions process is carried out. Candidates may enroll in any of the Anna University-affiliated government, government-aided, or private engineering institutes. The admission is granted based on class 12th or prerequisite scores.

TNEA 2024 Eligibility Criteria

• If a candidate has completed grades 8th to 10th in the state of Tamil Nadu, they do not need to present their nativity certificate.
• Candidates who have completed their eighth through twelfth grades, or an equivalent exam, outside the state of Tamil Nadu, must present an original, digitally signed e-certificate of nativity.
• If their parents or guardians were working in Tamil Nadu consistently for the previous five years at the time the application was submitted, children of Central Government employees or those employed in the public sector may also apply for admission.
• Candidates who studied in Tamil Nadu and are Sri Lankan Tamil Refugees are eligible to sit for the test. They must exhibit the following documents.
• Certificate of identification issued by the Tehsildar at the headquarters.
• The applicant must have passed the 11th and 12th grades, or an equivalent exam, from a recognized board.
• Candidates must successfully complete Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry as required subjects.

• Online access to the TNEA 2024 Application form will be provided.
• The third week of June 2024 will see the introduction of the TNEA 2024 application form.
• Candidates must complete the application by providing information such as their name, parent's name, email address, phone number, etc.
• Upload any scanned copies of your identification, including your ID card and signature.
• The candidates must properly fill out the application form because there will be no correction facility available.
• The third week of July 2024 will serve as the deadline for submitting the application form.
• The applicant must complete the application and print a copy of it.

How to Fill TNEA 2024 Application Form?

The steps for filling out an application for TNEA 2024 are given below:

Step 1: Go to the TNEA 2024 website at http://www.tneaonline.in/.

Step 2: Select "Click here for New Registration" from the menu.

Step 3: Enter the necessary information, including your email address, phone number, and password.

Step 4: The candidate can now enter their login information, and a new page will load.

Step 5: Fill out all the fields, including the candidate's name, email address, phone number, etc.

Step 6: Decide how you will pay for the application cost.

Step 7: Select "Save and Continue".

Step 8: Complete the application and submit it. After that, you will receive a PDF file.

TNEA 2024 Application Fee

The only way to pay the application fee is online.

The application fee can be paid for the transaction using a debit card, credit card, net banking, etc.

TNEA 2024 Admit Card

The TNEA will not provide TNEA 2024 admit cards; instead, random numbers will be released beginning in the third week of July 2024. Many candidates who will be taking the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission Test, which is conducted as a common entrance test at the direction of Anna University, Chennai, will receive an admit card. To take the exam, you must have your admission card with you, and to do that, you must have finished the registration procedure and paid the registration cost.

The steps to download the TNEA 2024 Admit Card are given below:

1. Visit the Anna University website.
2. The link to the admission card will be visible to you after you log into the TNEA portal on the front page, the applicant will see. A dialogue window will appear before you before you can enter the information.
3. For the Admit card to be downloaded, provide the registration number and password. The application is important to remember since you cannot download it without it.
4. The admissions card will show up on the monitor.
5. Then, it will be necessary to load it using a computer or other tools.
6. Take a printout of the hall ticket after downloading the PDF version.

The following information about the results is provided for the candidates' reference:

• The university posts the results on the same website that applicants use to register for the admission exam.
• The candidates must access the results from the official website using their registered credentials, the Roll/Seat number, and their DOB.
• The candidates should download and save the results papers on their computers, as well as print off extra copies for themselves.
• When counseling and the admissions process are underway, a copy of the results is required.

TNEA 2024 Counseling

Soon after the results are announced, TNEA Counselling 2024 Date for the reservation category is 3^rdweek of August 2024. Candidates who have achieved the necessary TNEA rank will be permitted to participate in the counseling process, and seats will be assigned according to the merit rank. 

Three different types of counseling

1. Special Counselling: For applicants seeking admission under several quotas, including the Sports Quota, the Differently Abled Quota, and the Children of Ex-Servicemen Quota.
2. Vocational Counselling
3. General Counselling: Candidates who applied for counseling fell under the general category, which includes routine counseling.

TNEA Counselling Fee:

The first deposit for candidates applying for the counseling procedure is INR 5000 (for the general category) and INR 1000 (for the reserved category) using net banking, credit card, or debit card using the TNEA official website.

TNEA 2024 Cut Off

On the official website, applicants may check the TNEA Cut Off information. After the registration procedure is over, it will be made available for different categories. The cut-off will be announced by Anna University for each subject separately. Candidates can verify the deadline in June 2024. Various elements, such as the number of applicants, the cut-off scores from the previous year, the number of open seats, etc. will be taken into consideration by the official authorities when establishing the cutoff scores.
