The Territorial Army of India is the second line of defense after the Indian Army. Every year TA recruits army personnel for various positions from across the nation. The territorial army is responsible for maintaining the civil administration with natural disaster relief and necessary upkeep. The Indian Army delegates its static duties to the Indian Territorial Army (TA). Additionally, TA provides units to the Indian Army when required.
TA currently has about 40,000 employees, who work in different civilian occupations. The Territorial Army will soon publish the notification for TA application 2024. It is advised that candidates keep a check on the official website of TA to not miss out on any vital information. Also, while filling the TA application 2024, they will need to submit a fee of 200 rupees along with all the necessary documents.
To fill the TA application form via the official website, a candidate needs to follow certain steps that are mentioned below:
Step 1: Visit the official website of TA and click on ‘New Registration’.
Step 2: Once the registration is complete, log in again to the website with the required credentials.
Step 3: Open the ‘Careers’ section and click on ‘Join as Officer’.
Step 4: Fill in the details (name, education, ID proof and more)
Step 5: Upload the documents, passport photo, and scanned copy of the signature.
Step 6: Click on the ‘save’ button to save the information successfully.
Step 7: Pay the requisite TA fees to complete the application process.
Step 8: Download the submitted form that contains the application number for future reference.
The TA written examination is distinguished into two papers- Paper I and Paper II. The TA Exam Format is mentioned below:

Territorial Army Recruitment for Officers
Candidates who pass the TA Exam are then called for an interview process at the TA Recruitment headquarters. Performance in both the written exam and the TA interview is evaluated. However, for final selection, they also need to go through medical testing.
Territorial Army Recruitment for Ex-Servicemen
Ex-servicemen candidates who pass the written test are called for an interview at the Additional Directorate General Territorial Army. They also need to pass the medical test and police verification test before the final selection.
