SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam Pattern

SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam will be qualifying in nature. As per SSC CGL Syllabus 2024 for the Tier 1 Exam, there will be 4 sections with 25 questions each. The SSC CGL 2024 Tier 1 examination consists of a total of 100 questions, with a maximum achievable score of 200. The allotted time for the SSC CGL Tier 1 exam is 60 minutes. This Tier I exam is structured into four sections, each containing 25 questions, and has a maximum score potential of 50 marks.

SSC CGL Tier 2 Syllabus 2024

The Tier 2 stage in SSC CGL exam comprises 3 papers. While Paper-I is compulsory for all the SSC CGL posts, Paper II and Paper III are conducted for candidates applying for the post of Junior Statistical Officer and Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer respectively. How many questions will be asked in CGL Tier-1 exam?

In the SSC CGL Tier 1 exam, 100 questions will be asked for 200 marks. The total time allotted for this section is 1 hour.

Will there be negative marking in the SSC CGL exam?

Yes, in Tier-I, there will be a negative marking of 0.50 for each wrong answer and In Tier-II, there will be a negative marking of 1 for each wrong answer in Paper-II (English Language and Comprehension) and of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer in Paper-I, Paper-III and Paper-IV.
