The SSC CHSL 2024 exam comprises three tiers, each testing different skills:
Tier-1: Computer Based Test (CBT) (60 minutes)
Tier-2: Computer Based Test (CBT) (60 minutes)
Tier-3: Skill Test (For LDC (Stenographer) Post Only) (Pen and Paper Based)
This is a dictation test at 80 words per minute (wpm) in shorthand, followed by transcription. Only candidates applying for the LDC (Stenographer) post need to appear for this tier.
The Skill Test will be held for applicants applying for the position of Data Entry Operator, while the Typing Test will be conducted for the positions of PA/SA and LC. The Skill Test/Typing Test is purely for qualifying purposes and is not used to determine the final merit list.
