National Testing Agency (NTA) is all set to conduct University Grants Commission (UGC) National Eligibility Test (NET) and the exam was conducted on 24th September 2020. Every year thousands of aspirants apply for the examination throughout the country.

Assistant Professor:

Junior Research Fellowship:

There are candidates who wish to make a career in the field of research along with some paid fellowship. Qualifying UGC NET helps candidates to take advanced studies under qualified guides and may also lead to taking MPhil and Ph.D. The fellowship amount for initial 2 years is Rs. 25,000 per month.

Senior Research Fellowship:

After completing the initial tenure of two years as a junior research fellowship, candidate's work in the tenure will be assessed and if found satisfactory, there will be an extension of tenure for next three years. Along with the extension of tenure, the candidate will also get raise in the fellowship.

Jobs in PSU:

In the past few years, there is an evaluation in the Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) and the authorities have started considering UGC NET Result for recruiting candidates on various posts. For example, this year Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) has announced that to apply for Executives at E1 level UGC NET 2019 scores will be considered and will be given preference.
