The Public Financial Management System, abbreviated as the PFMS is an online portal set up by the Ministry of Finance, India. This portal (pfms.nic.in) is maintained by the Controller General of Accounts which issues scholarships to students from the socioeconomically disadvantaged groups in society.
This is an initiative by the Government of India to financially assist and encourage the primary recipients of the PFMS scholarship in order to fund their studies. Under this scheme, there are multiple scholarship programs that a student can apply for to pursue diploma programs, graduation, post-graduation, or schooling. After the implementation of the PFMS Scholarship Programs by the government, education facilities have improved in the country.

The PFMS scholarship portal has a Direct Benefits Transfer facility for deserving students.
