The NIMCET 2024 registrations have begun for admission to MCA courses at NITs. The online applications started on 6 March 2024, and the last date for application is 20 April 2024. The exam will be conducted on 8 June 2024. 11 NITs are participating in this year’s NIMCET.
NIMCET is a National Level Common Entrance Test, conducted by any of the NITs (National Institute of Technology) for admission to their MCA (Master of Computer Applications) programs. NITs Allahabad, Agartala, Bhopal, Patna, Raipur, Surathkal, Warangal, Kurukshetra, Jamshedpur, Tiruchirappalli, and IIIT Bhopal are the institutes that offer MCA admission.
Students aspiring to take admission to MCA courses at these institutes through NIMCET should develop a preparation plan to obtain a good score in the exam. Solving previous years’ question papers is one of the strategies to perform well in this entrance test.

A candidate should ideally start preparing at least 6 months before the exam to attain a good score. It will allow them ample time to study, revise, and solve the question papers.
The NIMCET question paper comprises the following subjects: Maths, English, Logical Reasoning, and Computer Awareness.
Mathematics should be given a little more importance as 60 marks out of 100 marks is from the Mathematics section.
