NIMCET Marks Vs Rank

The NIMCET marks vs rank analysis for 2024 provides a visual representation to help candidates understand their potential placement based on their scores. The NIMCET marking scheme involves multiplying the marks obtained in different sections by specific weights: Mathematics by 3, Analytical Ability & Logical Reasoning by 1.5, Computer Awareness by 2, and English by 1.

The exam has a maximum weighted score of 1000. The rank vs marks distribution is determined by the candidate's total weighted marks. To pass the NIMCET exam, candidates must achieve at least 60% of the total marks or a CGPA of 5 on a 10-point scale in the qualifying marks for 2024.

NIMCET Marks Vs Rank 2024 Analysis

Candidates should be aware that the NIMCET commission releases the qualifying criteria for rank allotment each year. The NIMCET Marks vs Rank for 2024 will be based on the total weighted marks obtained in the test. Although the commission has not yet announced the NIMCET Cut Off Marks for 2024 on the official website, candidates should review NIMCET Annexure No. 13. This annexure outlines the criteria each participating NIT uses to assign final ranks for each category.

Students preparing for the exam can gain insight into the NIMCET 2024 marks vs rank by considering the following points.

  • Candidates who score zero or negative marks in either Mathematics or the overall aggregate will be disqualified from NIMCET 2024.
  • Marks in Mathematics, Logical Reasoning & Analytical Ability, Computer Awareness, and English will be multiplied by factors of 3, 1.5, 2, and 1, respectively.
  • The maximum weighted score possible is 1000.
  • A candidate's total weighted marks will determine their rank.
  • In case of a tie, ranks will be decided based on weighted marks in the following order: Mathematics, Logical Reasoning & Analytical Ability, and Computer Awareness.
  • If a tie still exists after applying the above criteria, the older candidate will be given preference.
