NEET Dress Code 2023 for Male and Female – The National Testing Agency (NTA) has laid down a specific NEET 2023 Dress Code that students appearing in the NEET 2023 must follow on the date of examination. The NEET 2023 Dress Code for males and females is mentioned in the official information brochure of NEET 2023 that will be released by NTA on the NEET Official Website.

NEET UG 2023 is scheduled to be conducted on May 7, 2023. As per the schedule, the exam will be conducted in an offline mode – pen and paper mode in almost 202 cities across the country. In order to ensure decency of the exam, candidates appearing in the NEET Exam are required to follow the protocols released by the NTA.

The medical aspirants, without any fail, are advised to follow the dress code for NEET 2023 prescribed by the NTA. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the National Testing Agency has added two major items in the existing dress code parameter which are masks and gloves.

NEET 2023 Dress Code

The NTA has prescribed the NEET 2023 Dress Code for Male and Female candidates. The candidates are advised to adhere to these guidelines. Special guidelines are mentioned on the official website of NEET in the form of information bulletin. Candidates appearing for the exam must go through the same in case they are willing to appear in their customary dress. Candidates must also make sure that they do not possess anything, which has been prohibited, while entering the exam centre. The particular NEET 2023 Dress Code has been mentioned below for both male and female candidates.

NEET 2023 Dress Code for Male Candidates

  • According to the COVID 19 guidelines, candidates are advised to wear a mask and gloves.
  • The NEET Dress Code for male candidates ensures that they must wear half sleeved shirts/T-shirts. Full sleeved shirts are not allowed on the day of examination.
  • The clothes should be light which means there should be no zip pockets, big buttons, and embroidery.
  • Male candidates must wear trousers or simple pants as they are preferred NEET Dress Code 2023. Kurta pyjamas are not allowed.
  • Shoes are strictly prohibited inside the examination room. Candidates are advised that they wear sandals or chappals with thin sole.

NEET Dress Code 2023 for Female Candidates

  • As per the guidelines of COVID-19, candidates must also wear a mask and gloves.
  • Theyn must not wear clothes that have elaborate embroidery, flowers, brooches, or big buttons.
  • Clothes with full arm length sleeves are prohibited on the day of examination. Adhering to the dress code of NEET 2023, candidates must wear half sleeved clothes.
  • Candidates wearing jeans with big pockets and fashionable clothing will not be allowed to enter the examination hall. So, female candidates must adhere to the NTA NEET Dress code to appear in the examination.
  • Leggings are not allowed.
  • Palazzos are not allowed in NEET 2023.
  • Theu must avoid wearing high heels and thick sole shoes. Wear sandals, slippers or any low heel footwear,
  • Female candidates must not wear any kind of jewellery. Jewellery such as earrings, nose rings, rings, pendants, necklaces, bracelets, or anklets are strictly prohibited. Metal detectors will surely cause an unnecessary hassle if there is any metal found on the candidates.

NEET Dress Code 2023 – Customary Dress

Candidates who believe in and follow a certain religion that prescribes a customary dress can appear in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test 2023 wearing their customary dress. As per the order issued by the Delhi High Court, Sikh candidates are allowed to carry their traditional Kangha, Kara, Kirpan with them to the examination hall. Even Muslim female candidates are allowed to wear burkha to the examination centre. These items will be considered by the authorities as to the customary dress.

While filling the NEET Application Form 2023, candidates will be asked if they wished to appear on the examination centre wearing their customary dress which violates the NEET 2023 Dress Code rules. Candidates, here, must indicate that they wish to wear a customary dress. Candidates are also advised to report to the examination centre at least an hour before the reporting time so as to help the authority conduct the security check properly. The candidates are also advised to dress up as per the dress code of NEET 2023 carefully to avoid any unfair means.

When filling the NEET Application Form, candidates must also upload their Postcard Size Photo for NEET Exam.
